    NINJA Question –

    Hey all!

So I purchased the complete 10 point combo a few months back and I’m just going through the material to start cranking into high gear for studying for my first section in the first week of Q4.

My question is with the 10 point combo (and sorry for being so dense)…- It says it includes Ninja MCQs..unless I have deleted that from my email (totally possible), it appears that the Wiley Test Bank pin I was provided with the other material is the Ninja MCQs? Or am I going crazy and there is additional WTB MCQs we can pay for in addition to the ones selected to be Ninja McQs?

Also one other quick question (and I will do the research later as I’m pressed to leave for work now, so no worries as the first question is my main question) – I have seen people post of something (it may be the WTB) that they mention when you are working problems (ie MCQ or SIMS), if you get the question wrong, you can the option to go into actual literature from (i believe) the AICPIA site to see why you got the question wrong in regards to the wording, etc. If this does not sound like something, please disregard!

Thanks ahead of time for the help regarding MCQs!

I use both test banks. NINJA and Wiley are separate test banks and you should have two separate websites to go to for each set of MCQs.

In the Wiley test bank you can do questions in practice mode. If you aren't sure of an answer there is an icon that will link to the text that explains that concept. If you get the question wrong it will give you an explanation as to why it is wrong. NINJA MCQ will give you an explanation as well. In fact both give you explanations for each answer right or wrong. I'm not sure if NINJA links to any text as you go through the questions. I usually use NINJA during my final review and at that point I just read the explanation after answering the question.

Since this is your first exam, I would suggest taking a practice exam or two so that you can practice time management, but other than that it's more beneficial to do questions in practice mode so that you can see the explanation of the answers and understand why you got the question right or wrong.

AWESOME! thank you for the quick response, and I guess (based on my end suscript date) i purchased the ten point complete combo before Jeff rolled out the MCQs, and it was driving me crazy bc i was looking at the combo in the store this morning and saw ninja mcq, so yea!

awsesome to know about the practice mode too! I have all my exams scheduled before the subscription runs out, so I'll run through those now and if I have to retake, I'll just supplment with a cheaper product after the price hike from wiley. I plan to get the ninja mcq for aud/far/reg, so most likely the whole set and will run through them as a final review as you mentioned (btw – how is your journey/process been with the tests using this method?).

That is great to know about the practice mode – one other stupid question if you have already studied for AUD as well with the WTB – is the practice mode the same thing that I see people referencing as the research mode for AUD within the WTB?

Well I'm not sure how they are referencing the research mode, but the practice mode in WTB just allows you to view hints and links to the text to help you answer the question. This is the same for all sections in the WTB.

When you do Simulations in the WTB it is set up like the actual exam where you can use the AL to research the topic. I have found this to be helpful on the actual exam.

I think once you start using the products you will see that they are really user friendly. Another thing to consider is if you want to complete the 10 pt combo, Jeff usually states that you can complete the package for a discount or w/e. He did that for me for REG. Wiley was also very accommodating with extending my subscription to the test bank. My access ran out before my 18 month window was up. I have passed BEC, FAR and AUD, but have now failed REG twice. I am retaking REG in October and if I don't pass I lose BEC so I'm under a crunch. I have all the NINJA products for REG and got the updated material from Wiley. I used Yeager/Wiley for each exam and personally feel it is the best for how I like to study. NINJA products are great for when you get to your final review – they really drive home all the major areas.

    Good luck!
