Thanks bnrhilton and kricket, I too am a new Louisiana CPA. I saw your post earlier, and I went to the State Board's site and found out my number, 0027227. I was a bit confused, because I wasn't expecting any notice until May. I think the Board doesn't meet until the last Friday of this month. Hence, I called the Board's office here in N' Awlins, and spoke with this nice fellow, Clinton, who informed me that as of today, I can officially put those three coveted letters,CPA, behind my name. The word excitement does not began to express how I am feeling right about now. Congratulations to everyone that has endured till the end, but especially my fellow Louisiana members. I see from your post that yall worked hard and I wish yall the best.

@KajunCPA, Clinton is super nice. He helped me out when I was panicking thinking that since my cpa supervisor had let his license go into retired status that I wouldn't be able to use him. Good to know that he said we can use cpa behind our name now. Kricket and I thought we had to wait until the board met at the end of the month.

He said we are approved and licensed, they are fast, because he told me that I was just approved yesterday. They are going to mail some info to us, that needs to be signed and returned for the Oath. I think there will be a ceremony for the Oath, but we are licensed now. If someone needs a CPA, you can sign without getting in any trouble.

That is awesome! I didn't think we could put CPA after our names until the board voted! Mr. Cognivich is a really nice guy, so was Mr. Henderson. I believe I'll be ordering those business cards tomorrow!
