    Hello everyone,

I came across a public accounting post on reddit that’s about a month old and wanted the A71 community’s opinion on it:

“Many firms are now saying they won’t sign off on your experience until the two year mark or two busy seasons”

Is it possible that this could be happening at Big 4 or BDO/GT/McG? Is it more likely this commenter was talking about regionals or small firms?

The post has no reply or context to it and I am curious to know if anyone has seen or heard about this actually being done in practice.

    Thank you!

Is there any truth to that comment?

    Maybe with some firms.

I've never heard of that happening. Most places are happy to sign a young CPA's form.

It makes the engagement teams look better when the firm gives the client the resumes/bios. The client did retain a CPA firm after all…
