Work experience requirement NY

I read the requirements on the NASBA website but I still have some questions that hopefully someone can answer.

So I am currently taking the exams and am hoping to be done in May. As far as experience is concerned, would any work I completed while I was still in college (2012-2013) count toward work experience? Or does work experience need to be completed after passing the exam? I interned in the accounting department of a private firm for about a year; I meet the part time minimum of 20 hours per week. I worked on a full time basis for the summer months, and part time for the other months, so in total I would be claiming about 6-8 months of experience from that internship.

Also, I am starting a job at a new private industry firm but have not been placed in specific group yet since it is a rotational program. But I am confident that the nature of the work will meet the NY requirements for licensure. In the event that I do not have a CPA that I work with directly in my group, could another CPA at the firm sign off on my work experience? Does it have to be the manager you report to directly that has a CPA and signs off on months worked?

As long as the CPA is the employee of the company and have active stauts as a NY CPA, you should be fine. Good luck
