I want to have the best study materials, and i am willing to pay more money to help myself pass. What about ninja is so good that everyone talks about it on here? Is it the tons of MC it gives you, or is the material easier to understand than Becker, etc? I’m willing to spend money on materials, so do most recommend i go with ninja in addition to becker, or does too much material make it confusing?

Also, what do people usually buy from Ninja or find most helpful to buy from ninja? I don’t think i would ever use the audio, but i can see the notes and MC being quite useful. Also i see there is something called NINJA MCQ: Complete and then NINJA MCQ: REG…what is the difference, and who is the complete like $500 and then the one just for reg is only $50.

Becker alone is enough to pass the exam I can assure you. Ninja offers a lot of products that are very fairly priced though, so a lot of people including myself will buy Ninja MCQs (only 47 dollars) to complement Becker and to see more range of questions. Also the founder of this forum is the founder of Ninja products so they're heavily talked about here. Ninja MCQs are an excellent product though and never a bad choice to buy!

My recommendation is to use Becker alone and if you fail a part to supplement it with Ninja MCQ's. As a Becker user, the product is more than enough to pass all of the parts. In fact, the practice tests and some of the MCQ's are even overkill.

I have Wiley, so I can't exactly compare to Becker. I picked up NINJA because I mostly wanted the audio lectures to listen to on my 1+ hour commute. Then, I started reading and writing Jeff's notes. Then I started using the MCQs as well. They're much more challenging than Wiley. I've gotten to where I just use Wiley for the lectures, but I use NINJA for everything else.

Take the free Becker and then purchase the NINJA MCQs ($47 each section). That will be more than enough.

I was able to pass using Becker alone, but I did have substantial accounting experience with almost 4 years in financial reporting. I am very familiar with financial statements, accounting and audit in general.

My plan was that if I had failed any section, I would've purchased ninja immediately. Thankfully I was able to pass each on the first try. I have some friends that use Ninja alongside with Becker. If you have the funds, I see no downside in buying Ninja, they offer a quality product at an affordable price. Some of the questions in Becker are too wordy and are not realistic representations of what you'll get on the exam so having an extra database of questions will definitely help.

I used Yaeger video lectures and the Wiley books. They worked well for me and I would recommend them. Price range is reasonable.

Just a couple of thoughts I tried to remember as I went through the journey of passing the CPA exams:
Philippians 4:6 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God."
Philippians 4:13 "I can do all this through him who gives me strength."

Becker supplemented with NINJA MCQ is the best strategy IMO.

Agreed with amb2588. I found it easier to drill down and self-test specific sections of the exam.

I agree with the above two posters, Becker with NINJA MCQ is an excellent strategy. I go through all of Becker's lecture/MCQ's and use NINJA MCQ's during final review.
