Hi,

I worked for 1 and half years in a big4 firm’s advisory practice in the Risk Management area. I participated in Audits as a specialist and did other attestation, compilation and GASB examination type engagements. My immediate supervisor (senior manager) was not a CPA but his direct supervisor who was a partner was.

Will my experience satisfy the 1 year work experience requirement of Texas Board even though my direct supervisor was not a CPA?

It definitely should as far as I know, but double check at your states Board of Accountancy website. I know that the california board had advisory as one of the experiences you could count. The best thing to do would to ask your firm, because they would know for sure.
