Worse on AUD than you thought?

I’ve heard that so many people have done much worse on AUD than they had expected. Can I ask what people expected vs. the score they got on release day? I felt confident walking out of the exam and am terrified to death. The other 3 parts, I thought I was gonna fail and passed.

    AUD - 92
    BEC - 81
    FAR - 76
    REG - 89

I'm interested to hear some responses as well. I left feeling pretty confident about the MCQ's (even though i didn't notice much of a difficulty difference, which is strange) but think I totally bombed at least two of the SIMS. I got 2 of the dreaded FAR SIMs that everyone has been talking about and definitely didn't see any of that content in my study materials (Roger cram AND Becker…)

I felt awful coming out of my frist 3 exams and passed them all in the 80s, felt great after my frist two tests on AUD and failed in the 60s. I just took AUD a third time and feel iffy, hope that is a good sign.

Best of luck to you, I'm sure that you did fine on AUD, most people find this to be their easiest exam (I am not one of them).

    REG: 80 (4/1/13)
    BEC: 87 (5/29/13)
    FAR: 82 (7/31/13)
    AUD: 63, 69, 86 (1/3/14)

As others have mentioned, when I feel like I failed, I pass; and vice versa.

Last AUD exam, thought I passed…failed in the 60s 🙁

Taking AUD on 16th and really hoping for a better outcome

    Good Luck

First time I took aud I knew I failed. I was completely clueless on the SIMs.

Second time I felt like I either barely passed or barely failed. I was so unsure the second time because everyone said the questions would get harder and I didn't feel like they did.

    AUD - 65, 89!
    REG - 70, 89!
    FAR - 78!
    BEC - 77!

    Finally!

For BEC & FAR, I felt so-so walking out and did fairly well. For AUD I actually felt (relatively) good and got my best score. I think immediately walking out we tend to remember the questions that stumped us and that makes us feel bad about the whole thing. A selective memory thing. Given that it's impossible to know how you did, just gotta try and relax. Easier said than done, I know lol

I see it's your (OP) last exam, must be killing you that you can't move on to another section to keep busy lol it's how I'm feeling with REG. Have you done the ethics course? I went ahead and did mine (good for 2 years in AZ), kept me busy for a few hours lol Good luck!

Usually, I study for the next section to concentrate on something else, but this is (hopefully) my last exam…Texas only mails the ethics exam material AFTER you pass the entire cpa exam 🙁

I had no idea you could order the ethics exam before you pass all 4 parts? If so thank you! I won't have any problem staying busy, nice to finally be able to relax and work out after work now.

    BEC: 87 (5/29/13)
    FAR: 82 (7/31/13)

I felt confident coming out of my first AUD exam (finished in 2 hours) and expected a mid 80s to low 90s score, based on how unsure I felt coming out of REG and FAR and the scores I ended up with on those. I ended up getting a 73 which I thought was a mistake. When I reread the chapters and worked more MCQs over the next month, I realized how easily one word, or one overlooked fact in a question can drastically change the answer. I felt much more prepared the second time around, but felt far more unsure about my score coming out of that exam (used the entire 4 hours), even though I was moderately confident I did at least 2 points better. I spent more time on MCQs and a lot more time on SIMs, utilizing the AL to research every question to make sure I squeezed every point possible out of each SIM. My results were much more in line with my other 3 exams.

The first time I took AUD, I definitely tried to cram all my studying into a smaller window of time (5 weeks instead of 8), so that could possibly be why I didn't learn as much as I should have the first time. The extra 3-4 weeks study for the retest definitely solidified some concepts that I didn't have a grasp on before the first exam.

AUD is just a different animal than the others.
