    At 6am today THIS mommy was at CVS (would have been cheaper to wait for the dollar stores to open but alas, I was moved to early action) to buy colored note cards, colored pens, 5 subject notebook, and tiny colored round stickers. The organizing and note taking for round 3 has begun.

    I will OWN AUD this time. The exam will weep when I click the final “done” tab.

    @mla,

    now that is a great attitude. I totally understand getting ready to battle with all your weapons…I do the same, it helps get my head straight.

    I am 459 in TN, but nothing so far, but if things don't go my way, I will be right behind ya doing the same thing.

    Audit is still fresh in ur brain, you are going to kill it this time!!!

    Cant wait to hear you passed Yankee!

    I've never taken notes (long story but I dont do well with handwriting and cant keep notes in microsoft word well organized) so this will be a first.

    I am going with the mantra that has gotten me through a lot in the last 10 years “A woman is like a teabag. You will never know how strong she is until you put her in hot water” (thank you Eleanor Roosevelt)

    and my other mantra “You don't drown by falling into the water, you drown by staying there” (thank you Edwin Louis Cole)

    great quotes!! I think Eleanor is amazing. I love the quote of hers about doing the one thing every day that scares you. Not in her exact words…my laptop is mourning my score and is now very slow loading google!!

    I was hoping I was done, so now back to studying!!!! I am waiting on REG, so I am walking on eggshells. UGH!

    @Peanut

    thanks! not exactly sure, was thinking of getting the Roger cram–I have heard he is full of energy. I need that. For some reason, Audit is tough for me, and not to mention it is like paint drying. This was my second swipe at it–both times studying full time, so right about now I am feeling like an ***hole. On another thread someone is really touting an online class, I will look into it. I just don't to spend a ton of money. I did feel like the combo of Becker and Wiley was great, so not sure where I went wrong. My Audit score was the lowest score I have gotten on all the CPA exams! That has blown me away. Ok, got to finish my tea, I need that caffeine to kick in so I can march down to Target, and like mla, get my ammo–oops, I mean my supplies!!!

    waiting on REG is going to kill me. I have to pass one of the two I took!

    Tough luck Mla and Yankee!! I admire your spirits for getting ready so quickly.

    Yuppp writing notes is the way to go. At first I thought it was too time consuming (not to mention hand breaking) but now I have realized that the areas where I wrote notes were the ones I was right and clear.

    Good luck gals!!!

    I am sticking with Wiley (cant afford another exam AND a program right now, even though I know in the long run it may be cheaper to go with Roger)

    I bought colored note cards. On the red I am writing down everything I KNOW already and dont particularly need to review.

    On the yellow are things I have a general idea of but have to look up to confirm.

    Green is stuff that I should really spend time on.

    For my own reference I wrote down everything I remember about the exam itself just as a reminder of what my speedbumps were.

    I am making a “game plan” instead of just playing it by ear, and will likely purchase Jeffs ninja notes since they come so highly recommended AND are 40% off. How can a gal say no to another 71 when thats what I landed on this round?

    I am exceptionally lucky and I know that, I have until April before I could lose my FAR score. I dont intend to cut it that close, and now I am MAD. When I get mad is when I excel at what I am attempting. Seriously I only wish more people would tell me I cant possibly do this. When someone tries to tell me I can't do something (lose weight, handle 2 dogs,get my degree, buy a house) is when I rise the best to the occasion. I love to defy people. Its a gift!

    have2, its not so much a preference not to write notes, I actually have a neurological condition called “focal dystonia” which is a very prettied up way of saying my hands shake like crazy and my muscles tire quickly from making them fight with each other…..LOL. I actually qualify to have ADA accomodations to take the exam orally if I thought the typing was too much but typing isnt that bad for me so I dont bother.

    Would have never attempted this back in the paper and pencil days though. The writing would have been worse for me than the studying.

    No big, just an added level of excitement to my life LOL

    @T-rex and Hav2pass,

    Thanks guys. I feel compelled to get this behind me. This exam damn near tore apart me and my hubby, so I am hell bent on getting it done. I am not excited about prolonging this hopefully we can find a way to make it palatable until I cross the finish line. I will make sure that on my Target run for ammo (er, supplies) I will also stock up on chocolate. Besides my dog, Birdy, chocolate is my study buddy.

    Life is always throwing a new challenge–I am just getting old and not as good at it as before. Here is my pity party: My 48th bday was Wednesday, so I thought I might get a belated present from the AICPA-but no such luck. It will come another time.

    I am hoping you guys are done—keep us posted on your progress!
