Please share your stories. I took REG at the end of May and I am sure I failed as I had a very limited knowledge of taxation and the test concentrated specifically on taxes so I had to guess too many MCQs and also all of the SIMs except for the research questions. I am sure I did not pass.

    FAR - 89
    AUD - 84
    BEC - 84
    REG - 49, 86
    ETHICS - 96........ DONE!!!

    @never2lateinWA,

I am completely in the same boat as you are. But rest assured, judging by yours score I think you did pass. I did not pass simply because I went to take the test completely underprepared as far as any taxation topics concerned. I had to take too many guesses on MCQs and all of SIMs except for the research one. So it is me who will be studying this summer, not you.

    FAR - 89
    AUD - 84
    BEC - 84
    REG - 49, 86
    ETHICS - 96........ DONE!!!

    @gorbuha,

Come on, your scores are as good as mine. And besides, past performance is not an indication of future performance. REG is my weakest area. I work for a nonprofit so have very little experience with taxation, and my last business law class was in 1989. Fingers crossed we both find that magic 75 on Friday. If so, virtual drinks are on me!!

    FAR 1/4/14 88
    BEC 2/27/14 93
    AUD 4/14/14 86
    REG 5/29/14 86

    That's all Folks!!!

Thanks to whoever started this thread. I truly thought I was dead to rights on REG. Felt like I completely failed two sims, got the research question right, and did reasonably well on the other 3 sims. I felt like I did okay on the MCQ's but didn't think it would be enough to carry me to a passing score. Found out today that I got an 83 and now only FAR remains. The thing you should try to remember after leaving the testing center feeling less than confident is that one of the SIMS and 12 of the MCQ's are thrown out. There is a reasonable chance that those questions you thought were “out of left field” and the SIM that was on a topic that seemed irrelevant to the core subject matter are pre-test and will not hurt you. What I have found is that if you know you put in a 100% effort with no regrets about study time applied and had a strong grasp of the subject matter going in, you usually succeed. Just take your time during the test, read questions clearly, manage your time appropriately, and you will more likely than not come out on top. Congrats to those who passed, and for those who did not, keep your head up. Have a great weekend.

    Reg was tough.

    Reg brought me down.

    There was SOOO much REG…!!

I took the test, and left -knowing- that I missed at least 5-10 MCQs and felt REALLY BAD about 2 of the simulations.

    I passed with a 92.

So add me to the list of people that felt like they failed, but passed.

    REG - 92
    AUD - 90
    BEC - 82
    FAR - 82

wow @vlakmir @candle you guys just didnt pass you guys completely rocked it. i ended up rushing thru most of testlet 3 and the sims due to lack of time. so there was definitely a fair share of guessing going on. i hope to add onto this thread. waiting for CA's scores is tough

I took REG 5/21/14. I felt like the MC's were fair enough and I didn't struggle too much with them, but I had trouble with the SIMS. I had 1hr 20mins going into the SIMS, so I started by going through all the tabs to see what I could tackle easily and started with the research question. The research question killed me, I couldn't find it the first time and after 5 mins I left it and started the other ones, I went back to the research question 4 times! I finally found the answer, but I think I wasted at least 20 mins total on finding it. Two SIMS were fair and I thought ok not too bad, two were hard and I was second guessing my self the whole time, only one SIM (with drop down was what I would consider easy), and then the research from hell. I had enough time to use the AL feature to help me a little with some parts of the SIMS, but my advice is not to rely on the AL for much help during SIMS bc you could wast a lot of time. I ended up with 5 mins left on the exam, and honestly I walked out so confused and not sure what to think. For the last two weeks, I've been thinking how well did I do on the MCQ vs the SIMS and would it be enough to get that passing score…. well I'm really happy to say that I passed REG on first try with a 75. I used Becker, went to ALL the live classes, did 93% of all the homework and optional questions, and I did about 1000 progress questions (which I feel like what really helped me feel comfortable with the MCQ's on test day). I practiced all the SIMS leading up to the week of the exam.

    BEC - 66, 77 (3/14* expired), 82 (11/15)
    AUD - 58 (4/14), 76 (8/14)
    REG - 75 (6/14)
    FAR - 72 (11/14), 67 (1/15), 68 (5/15), 68 (7/15), 80!!!! (11/15)

I got a 49. I can't believe it. I knew I failed the exam as I did not study the taxation topics at all. But this bad…. :((( wow…. what is wrong with me…

    FAR - 89
    AUD - 84
    BEC - 84
    REG - 49, 86
    ETHICS - 96........ DONE!!!

I walked out of the testing center 110% sure I failed. Halfway through the test I literally said to myself “I'M FAILING”. I flagged so many MCQs and I couldn't figure out what half the SIMS were asking me to do and I kept second guessing myself. It was so bad that as soon as I got home, I picked a date to retake, scheduled and paid for a Becker Final Review course for REG and ordered the REG Ninja notes, knowing for a fact I would have to reschedule. Ended up with an 84 and I still don't know how.

I took REG on 10/10. I did last 3 days cram with Becker, did over 500 MCs within the last 3 days and know why I did wrong. I had no idea about the last 2 sections of Business Law (R7 and R8). I have a strong individual taxation background, but on the actual exam I had lots of business law, trust and estate tax Mcs, with 2 simulations were focusing on trust and estate. I thought I would fail. But I passed with 75. I feel REG is pure luck.
