What is/was the hardest section for you in FAR?

I’m not there yet, but business combinations was a pain in the a** when I took it last summer…all that inventory, bonds, and noncontrolling interest..damnnnn :'(

In my Becker studies it's F3 – F9. So almost everything. It takes me so long to go back through each topic that when I get back to an earlier topic…it's a foreign language all over again. It stinks. I've been trying to do flashcards everyday, but nothing can replace MCQs on each topic. Problem is that those take a long time to do and I need to keep pressing on to the topics I struggle with.

Summary: I'm hella nervous about this test.

    B 79
    A 75
    R 78
    F 85

F2, 5 and 6 were really tough for me.

    R PASS
    A PASS
    B PASS
    F AUGUST

@katiekanton..I think they're heavy dogs because they can afford 3.5k..I could barely afford $500 and exceeded my budget..lol..

so far F3-F7 for me F8 & F9 weren't too bad surprisingly… of course we'll see what I say after my test.

@jjm1181 I'm nervous too! EEK. Tuesday is coming up a lot faster than I would like that's for sure. Have you been going to each chapter and then pushing “quiz” and doing 20 mcq's from there? I do those for each chapter until I start getting 70-80% then move on…. That's what I've been doing to review and it's helping

Becker is usually chosen because of their reputation, not saying the other review courses are not good but Becker definitely has the marketing down. The Becker review courses were part of my Masters program… whether they are a good fit for me.. Tuesday will tell as that is my first CPA test (FAR).

the only difference between Becker and Wiley is that you pay $3100 more. No review program can assure you can the pass the exam..it's all about hard work and how good you're with accounting..90% of my classmastes could get Becker, but they would not pass because they're just as lazy as a 200 lbs 10 yr old.

I'm taking FAR on November 12th, I think it woudl be fair to say that everything except for maybe derivitives and hedges have monkey stomped me. I passed REG with a 90 and AUD with a 76 on my first tries, and this is the first time I'm taking FAR. It is certainly showing me who's boss.

Yeah F40 was a doozy. My uncle flew an F4 Phantom in Nam. Also, F5 will refresh this page.

In all seriousness though, I thought that the bonds were tricky and also the parts dealing with subsidiaries. I think I also had some trouble with some of the differences between Private and Public not-for-profit accounting…at least that was an area marked “weaker” on my performance report.

    REG - 79
    BEC - 75
    AUD - 84
    FAR - 75
Done...Thank you Wiley Books, Wiley Test Bank, and the NINJA Notes

@snick722..don't be scared..b brave..and kick some a**…remeber that the CPA license is a license to steal (per one of my Professors)..lol….I've been thinking about it and yes it's the license to steal because the AICPA leaves everyone with empty pockets…:'(

@HumanPiraha: “have monkey stomped me” I love that phrase! Is that from the south or somethin?

I'm from Seattle and have never heard it.
