Having been through these exams more than I’d like, I was curious on what others thought is the toughest/hardest SIMs of all four exams.

REG and FAR take the cake. Especially the ones where you have to calculate a value as opposed to using the drop-down.

For me, it was REG. I felt the FAR SIMs were reasonable and with some time on the authoritative literature tab, you'll locate the answr or at least get a guide to the answer. REG SIMs were a btch! 🙁

@mmcgrad Im taking NIU reg on the go. How'd you feel about it? Only listened to a couple lectures so far and not enjoying myself too much….

REG by FAR, that on accident? haha

Haven't taken REG yet but FAR was hard but I knew what I was doing but could def see it being hard. AUD had some difficult ones but I was able to confirm stuff I was iffy about using authoritative literature which made it easier

REG has so much material to remember. I felt much more confident about FAR going into the exam. However, REG was my first exam. My advice for REG is to not spend too much time remembering phaseouts and brackets. I spent a lot of time memorizing them. My studying could have been spent better on other things.

I hated tax in college so I thought REG would be my most difficult exam. I felt like NIU prepared me well for all sections of the exam except for maybe a topic or through which I felt they were a little weak.

I only felt like they were lacking in ERM & COSO for BEC and some little topic on REG that I got on a SIM. I can't really discuss the details.
