CPA Exam Scores and Results Predictions – April/May 2009 – Wave 1

cpascore

I was 4/4 in Wave 1 of the January/February window and 0/4 for Wave 2. We’ll forget Wave 2 ever happened (and assume that the AICPA won’t delay BEC or release FAR second again) and march boldly forward with these predictions.

Joanne Vician (who graciously sent me score release info ahead of it being public) at the Illinois Board of Examiners retired after the Jan/Feb 2009 window, but left the readers of this site in good hands with a contact of hers…more to come on that later.

Here we go…

Here are the predictions for the April/May 2009 Wave 1 (NASBA) score release…

  • May 18 – BEC
  • May 20 – AUD
  • May 21 – REG
  • May 22 – FAR
  • Which means that IL, CA, VA, etc will get their scores…

  • May 15 – BEC
  • May 18 – AUD
  • May 19 – REG
  • May 20 – FAR
  • Like I said, Joanne left the candidates who read this site in good hands…as I get info on score releases, I will pass them along as I can…most likely via Twitter, as I can update it via my phone.

    Update 5/11/2009 – NASBA Updates Score Release Process…

    Revised NASBA release prediction:

  • May 17 – BEC
  • May 15 – BEC actual NASBA release
  • May 19 – AUD
  • May 19 – AUD actual NASBA release
  • May 20 – REG
  • May 25 – REG actual NASBA release
  • May 21 – FAR
  • May 21 – FAR actual NASBA release

update 5/26/09 – (Two out of four ain’t bad…)

update: AICPA released BEC earlier than expected…here’s some bold prediction updates (reckless and not for the faint of heart…)

    When is the cutoff for Wave 1?

  2. “When is the cutoff for Wave 1?”

    If the AICPA keeps with their historical cutoff, it’s Thursday, May 7

  3. Izabella says:

    i really hope your wrong about your predictions .. and I hope they give the FAR earlier… i will be crying if i get my score right before my birthday and i fail…

  4. Anonymous says:

    I understand about the weekend, but why is there two days between CA, VA & IL release and the NASBA release?

  5. cpa_hopeful says:

    Oh no! Tell Joanne we will miss her!!

  6. Mangorange says:

    Hi Jeff,

    Do you know what’s going on with cpanet the forum?? It’s been down for two days and the only place I can think of is here to ask about it.

  7. Mango – I too noticed it was down yesterday. I’ll ask Brenda about it.

    this website is so funny! I cant believe I didn’t know about it. what a great way to avoid studying for AUD on Friday!

  10. Anonymous says:

    Do you know if May 7th is the last day of the first wave or the first day of the second wave? Or is May 8th the first day of the second wave? Thanks!!

  11. I would say that Wave 2 starts May 8…but keep in mind that 25% (or so) of the Wave 1 people won’t get their score.

  12. Denise says:

    I was told that there weren’t any scores in the 70-74 range on the CPA Exam?… is this true?…

  13. Jamie says:

    Sorry Denise. It’s not true. Here are my last four audit results:

    74,74,74

    Yep. It sucks.

  14. Anonymous says:

    Joanne retiring!! HAPPY RETIREMENT!!

    From Chicago.

  15. Denise:

    yeah! I got a 74 on my first FAR attempt! =(

    this site is called another71, so that should clear it up for ya.

  16. Denise says:

    Thanks for the info guys!… I just found this site last night… “74″ truly does suck! Whenever I pass (nothing like positive thinking!) I want to look into the scoring of the CPA Exam. It seems so strange to me that those of us w/accounting degrees and backgrounds… and who study for the blasted exams can’t get it passed! Definitely frustrating!!!

    YIPES!

    Isn’t weird how people react when you tell them you are studying / Sitting for CPA exam? Some with disbelieve and think ?you can?t make it?, the other with ?applaud?, the rest ?stand and to see what happen? I don?t know about you but I am thinking… I can’t wait to get over it! and get my normal classy life back!

  18. yo Jeff!

    I never sat for a CPA section so early, but I was wondering if this was normal.

    I sat for AUD on 4/7/09 and on the state board (CA) site, it still says: “AUD: Schedule/Attendance Pending.”

    Can anyone from CA answer my question?

    Usually when I take it in the latter of the testing window, it will say AUD: Score Pending – Attended xx/xx/xxxx xx:xx:xx”

    Thanks in advance!

  19. DT says:

    Hi lmb – latestmusicblog.com

    I’m in the same boat as you. Took BEC in CA on 4/6/09 but my status still says BEC: Schedule w/Prometric. My previous experience is that it will change to Attended: xx/xx/2009 Score Pending w/in a week. So yesterday I wrote to the board and got a reply in an hr. Here’s their reply, hope this helps!
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    In response to your email, this is normal.
    There is often a delay from the time a candidate sits for the exam, and the time that sitting is visible in the client account. Approximately 10% of the time, the client account will go from Schedule with Prometric, or a similar message, to the actual exam score.
    We are aware of the issue. It has absolutely no effect on when a score will be released.
    Please keep in mind that you only have limited access to one of a number of computer systems involved in this process. It is easy to view that limited amount of information out of context.
    Sincerely,
    Stephen Cooley
    Examination Unit
  20. Thanks DT! I really appreciate your response! I’ve never had this happened before, but your reassurance is wonderful! I hope you rocked BEC! AUD is my last one, so I’m just patiently waiting. What part of CA are you from?
  21. DT says:
    Hi lmb – latestmusicblog.com : I never had this happened b4 either. That’s why I was worried. On top of that, the check in computer system at my test center was down. So they took a POLAROID pix + INK thumbprint instead. I thot poloaroid film was extinct! haha
    Anyways, I’m from LA area…. BEC is my last one altho it’s my 2nd attempt. Good Luck in AUD and hope we both get result in 1st wave! (I waited 1.5 month for REG last window!)
  22. DT: that’s awesome! I’m from LA area as well. Pasadena area specifically. Polaroid and ink thumbprint .. WOW! Interesting, I took REG last window as well! Hopefully we’re done after this! How did you do in REG?
  23. DT says:
    lmb – latestmusicblog.com: I live about 10 miles E of Pas…Do you go to the Glendale test center too?! I hate that bldg everytime I drive the 210 now, altho my hubby’s work own that bldg…haha!
    I got 80 on REG which I was really, really shocked! I messed up on sims but suprisingly well on MCs. I’ve always worked in healthcare acctg, so I have no public acctg experience at all. But so far it’s stable. My SIL got layoff recently from EY. But luckily they waited til she finished all her hrs so she can apply for her license now.
  24. DT:
    Nice! I usually go to the testing center at Lake Forrest. It’s far, but I’ve always passed when I went there. Call me superstitious! LOL! I got an 84 on REG! I’m looking for work. It’s tough right now. I actually graduated with my BS in Accounting in May 2007. I took a break from school, did some studying for the CPA, and kind of got sidetracked on the way. My cousin from Tucson, AZ was diagnosed with a really rare and aggressive cancer in late May 2008. I pretty much put my life and career on hold and moved to AZ for a short while. I came back in October 2008 and started getting into study mode again. I’d visit once a month. In January 2009, she passed away. It was a hard time for me at the moment and I eventually got back into study mode. I’m just waiting on AUD results now. Sorry for rambling! I was wondering, do you know anywhere hiring at the moment? Thanks for listening, DT! (=
  25. DT says:
    lmb – latestmusicblog.com: sorry to heard about the loss of your cousin :\ btw – is that your music blog or do u have an email there? Not sure if Jeff will appreciate us rambling on & on our lives here! haha
Yeah, it’s tough with my cousin’s situation, but it just makes me appreciate life even more now-a-days. Life is beautiful, precious, and exciting! Yet, it also has it ups and downs. We should value and enjoy every moment of it. I also blog about motivational and inspirational ramble on my free time if you want to check it out at http://taney.wordpress.com/. I haven’t had time to update it lately, but I really want to start blogging again soon.
    fyi…you’re welcome to leave a link in the comments or stick your website in with your name, but just know that it will throw the comment into moderation and I’ll have to manually approve it when I get a chance. I’ve had a surprising amount of spam (around 1,300 spam comments) since I switched to wordpress.
    I just took AUD on 4/21/09. I am getting conflicting data on the waves. I took REG in Nov 08 and got my score (76) in Dec 08. I am trying to plan taking FAR and BEC by my “expiration” date. Do the waves mean if I take FAR in Jul 09 I should (hopefully) get my score in Aug 09?… or will it still be in Sep 09?… Any input would be helpful. Thanks
    ?When is the cutoff for Wave 1??
    If the AICPA keeps with their historical cutoff, it?s Thursday, May 7
  33. Anonymous says:
    I took REG today 04/27 and my last stimulation was very time consuming and complicated than the rest of the exam. I felt that 3 hours wasn’t enough. They should give us extra hours for REG than for Audit.
  34. Izabella says:
    I just took the FAR exam.. oh my gosh.. i know i failed.. that test was ridiculous.. i dont know whether to start studying for this test again.. or should i continue studying for th AUD part which is on the 14th…
    back to crying and the books
  35. DT says:
    lmb – latestmusicblog.com : to answer to your previous question, sorrie but I dunno who’s hiring at the moment. And unfortunately I’ve been asked that questions from friends lately too :\
    Anonymous @ 311p : I agreed that REG should have more time than AUD! For AUD I had time to go back to each testlet and ea sim, took a pee break AND had 1/2 hr left over! What da heck?!
    Izabella: Move on to AUD! it will be a breeze compare to FARE! You prob did GREAT! :)
  36. Anonymous says:
    Izabella: I took FAR yesterday as well and I walked out of the test feeling like I definitely failed and wanting to cry knowing if I didn’t pass this I’m going to loose my hard earned REG credit. I think this horrible feeling in my stomach is going to last until I find out my score. I’m not sure whether to keep studying or just wait. If I were you, since you already purchased the test, just study for AUD.
  37. Izabella says:
    Thank you guys ! Thanks to Jeff this website keeps me sane!!
  38. Izabella says:
    is it srupid that my hands are itching to check my score already and i just took the test on Monday.
  39. JK says:
    I took the FAR on the 18th of April and I felt like I failed as I walked out of the exam, but I’m prepared for round 2 if it comes down to it. lol.
    The estimated release date is May 22 for FAR, but I’m taking BEC on May 28. With that being said, I won’t check my score until I’m finished with BEC otherwise my confidence may take a hit..
    The misery this exam brings upon us!
  40. DT says:
    lmb – latestmusicblog.com : My status finally changed to BEC Attended: 04/06/2009
  41. AUD Attended: 04/07/2009 11:26:00 (score pending).
    REG Score: 84 – Attended: 02/25/2009 12:54:00
    same! thanks for the update! (=
  42. lmb – leave the http:// off of your url…it won’t get caught in the moderation cue and the link will still work.
  43. it appends http:// itself and it goes through moderation regardless it seems.
  44. Chris from Charlotte says:
    The worst is taking the test in the beginning a a testing window. My first three exams I took 11/27/08, 1/27/09, and 2/28/09- and I got the grade back fairly timely- three to four weeks. I just took AUD on 04/11/09, and I feel like I’ve been waiting a lifetime for what could be (fingers crossed) my last part of this exhausting exam, in full knowledge that I still have to wait 3-4 more weeks for the grade. My advice to future CPA exam-takers- take the exam in the last week of the month. Surely this won’t apply to everyone, but if you lose sleep over your exam grade, and you hate playing the waiting game- try taking the exam towards the last week or weekend in the testing month.
    Jeff you are awesome and your site has been helpful throughout this rigorous “waiting game.”
  45. lmb - latestmusicblog.com says:
    Chris from Charlotte:
    yup, but with CPA, you want to take it when it’s fresh in your mind. I took all my tests late except for this one late in the window as well and I took AUD on 04/07/09 and its my last one. I completely understand where you come from. I was so ready to take it early that I didn’t want to wait in case of memory loss, so now i’m suffering and waiting now, but you’re not alone!
  46. Jen says:
    Hello, love this website!
    I was wondering if anyone could tell me whether all tests taken in a window are released by the second wave? So for example, if I take a part in late May am I guarenteed to find out in the second wave (June) or is there a possibilty I still might not find out til July?
    Thanks!
  47. lmb - latestmusicblog.com says:
    Jen:
    If you take it in the April-May window, you’ll get your results before the July-August window. So yes, you will get a score by July.
  48. Aaron says:
    Well…I sat for FAR for the second time after I said I was going to throw in the towel after failing REG twice. I feel like a did great…although I put some serious hours (away from home) into studying for FAR. I walked out feeling pretty confident. I hope it doesn’t bite me in the @$$.
  49. lmb - latestmusicblog.com says:
    no one has posted lately! i’m super anxious for wave 1 results .. where did everyone go??
  50. J says:
    So I’m scheduled to take my 3rd exam (AUD) the day after the score release for FAR is expected to come out! Who thinks I should look at the score the night before?! Or, just wait for the bad news after I take my AUD exam?!
  51. RP says:
    Don’t worry, everyone will show up again when it gets close to the prediction of the score release date.
  52. Chris from Charlotte says:
    I share your anxiety for wave 1 grades Imb.
  53. Izabella says:
    im taking audit on the 14th.. Kind of wish i were taking it before wave 1 testing window closes….
  54. DM says:
    taking audit Thursday – here’s hoping my score is included in wave one!
  55. I hope it goes well for you DM (and you’re included in Wave 1!)
    -Jeff
  56. Izabella – look at it this way…you’re trading a 75% chance of getting your score in Wave 1 for an extra week of studying. Not a bad trade I’d say.
  57. ADF says:
    Okay I need to complain. I won’t ever schedule an exam for the beginning of the window again. This is my first go-round. I took audit on April 3rd and this wait is hurting me. If May 20 is the predicted release date, and I’m scheduled for BEC on May 22, do you all suggest I look at my scores before I take BEC or wait until after? I don’t want to psych myself out!
  58. ADF – it doesn’t matter what we recommend…you’ll still look :)
  59. lwk says:
    I took my FAR for the second time 4/07/09. I am waiting now.
  60. Aaron says:
    I take Audit on May 26. I just took FAR and feel like I passed because I put in the time this go around…but how does Audit stack up to FAR. Any suggestions on how to study for AUD? And different methods than FAR?
  61. PJ says:
    Taking FAR for the first time in 2 weeks and starting to freak out … any words of advice?
  62. Joey Altruda says:
    PJ,
    Advice: Start to freak out more. The more you freak out, the better. You’ll lose sleep, hair, & probably a few days off your life.
    Allow yourself to totally lose it. You will be consumed by the exam experience…completely comsumed.
    Of course, don’t stop studying. Study while at work. Study while you eat. Study while you’re in the shower. Study while you walk the dog.
    Then you will sit down in front of the cheap HP computer terminal at the testing center. You will start clicking on the cheap little mouse. And then you will think to yourself, “Gee, this isn’t so bad. I shouldn’t have freaked out so much!”
    And then, in the quickest 4 hours of your life, it will be over.
    You’ll see.
  63. Jeff R. says:
    Joey,
    No offense, but that is the worst advice I have ever heard one person give to another person about this exam. Seriously, I hope that was an attempt at dry humor.
    PJ, it’s really not that bad. This exam is different for everyone and what may cause one person to struggle may be a breeze for you. Just study as much as you think you need (that is, if you think you need to review something, don’t talk yourself out of reviewing, just sit down and do it), and come test time, if you are prepared, you will have the same reaction that Joey specified and will still keep those few days you would lose under the above poster’s plan.
    Stress to the point of burnout is one of the worst ways to approach this exam or anything major in life. If you stress yourself out, you won’t be able to think straight then you will fail.
  64. I think Joey was being facetious about freaking out…I could be wrong.
  65. Amy in Philadelphia says:
    ADF…
    I’ll tell you my little story. I took BEC in October and REG in November. I just knew I failed BEC and was annoyed with all the time I put in, so I was pretty half hearted studying for REG. The BEC scores came in 5 days before I sat for REG, so I checked to see how bad I did & I got a 78! That gave me the push I needed to heavily review REG.
  66. Nearly There says:
    Just took FAR on April 5th…
    For PJ: You shouldn’t freak out, don’t be afraid of the exam. I have taken FAR twice and the first time I went in fearing this exam and expecting defeat, and that’s just what happened. You have to keep a positive attitude, but don’t be over confident. FAR is a tough exam with a lot of material is less time, but it can be passed. And remember, even if you do fail, you can take it again. Just keep on studying and get some rest and pray like hell that the people you test with are idiots and there’s a massive curve ;)
    Good Luck!
  67. lmb - latestmusicblog.com says:
    tomorrow is the 8th, i guess we’re back to hitting refresh on our browsers soon! ;D
  68. V says:
    Why? Don’t even bother checking your scores for at least another week.
  69. PJ says:
    Thanks for your help guys! This site is great! back to the books..
  70. Izabella says:
    I actually think Joey was a hundred percent correct… I know how i freaked out for my test. Studied everywhere I went, everywhere I ate, even when I was sleeping (nightmares and dreams of material is not fun).
    Come the test and my response was “this is doable.” My true opinion is not that the test is hard. It’s not!!! The test is definitely doable .. the two things that get me crazy is 1) fininding the TIME to study and 2) retaining all the information that I just studied.
    Otherwise, the test could be much trickier than it is.. Much harder, and def ask more detailed question.
    All I can say is, Anyone can do this… Do not give up.. Definitely study.. If you dont have time to study, then find it… That is all i have to say.> Ok back to studying on my lunch break.
  71. Eddie says:
    After I took Reg yesterday on the drive home the radio station played Tom Petty’s song The Waiting… Now I wont be able to get it out of my head until I get my grade which will hopefully be on May 21…
  72. Joey Altruda says:
    Thanks for the kind words, Izabella. And, yes, I was joking about totally freaking out like a crazy person.
    But most of us do it….Look, a lot of time, effort, $$$ has been spent and a lot is at stake. Of course we’re going to be nervous & possibly psyche ourselves out! Go ahead and FREAK OUT!
    However: keep your compass pointing North. My point earlier was that after all the drama, after all mind-bending expectations, it is just a test.
    And it really is not that bad. Once you are sitting in that testing center doing your thing, you will realize that the exam is not that bad…especially after all of the incredible build-up going into it.
    Trust me. I am veteran at these damn tests. And I have done a lot (a LOT) of freaking out over the past couple years.
    So go ahead & freak out. The more you do probably means you’re serious about completing your mission of passing & getting licensed. And one day, hopefully soon, I will get there.
    And you will too.
    YES, WE CAN!!!
  74. Char says:
    I took Aud on april 1st, still waiting for the result.
    My sis had passed all her four parts, and all her test results came out in about one month after she took the exams.
    its been 38 days since i took the exam. does that mean my score is between 73-76? thats why it took so long to release my score?
    anyone??
    thanks
  75. Char – your sister must have sat for her exams at the end of the window, which is why she got all of her scores within a month.
    Example using last window: she sat for her exams in the last week of February and got her scores between March 15 – March 25 or so.
    You sat for your exam in early April…scores don’t come out until mid-May or mid-June depending on if your score was made available in Wave one.
    Don’t read into it at all…it’s just how this process goes.
    G/L
  76. Teague719 says:
    This is a great site-a support system indeed. I got my accounting degree and MBA from Asia 16 years ago. I quit my $120k/yr job a few months ago to study and sit for the US CPA uniform test. I know, I know!!!! But this is something I needed to do for my sake. Devoted 3 months to review for the 4 sections. Passed the 3( AUD, BEC, FAR) all in Feb of 2009-but failed REG of all sections. I thought I could easily pass REG-that’s why I only devoted 60 hours of review time to it-10 hours more than I spent in BEC. After the REG test-I felt like I am going to have a nose-bleed. After the 3 MCQs, I only had an hour left for the 2 sims-needless to say, I didn’t finish the 2nd sim.
    I took REG for the second time 1st week of May. But this time I came prepared. I used two materials, Wiley and BISK. The first MCQs and SIMS I took using these materials, i scored around 82%. The second time I retook the sample tests(2 days before my actual REG) test, I got 92 in almost all topics. The secret-knowing my mistakes in the tests is not enough. i had to know why I arrived at a wrong answer to minimize the likelihood of making the same mistake next time around. I am very optimistic I did well in the actual test. I finished the 3 MCQs within 1 hr and 12 minutes. I finished my 2 SIMS feeling good. If I don’t pass REG this time around, then something’s wrong with my head.
    I’ll post an update after I receive my score.
    Good luck to all of us.
  77. Izabella says:
    Teague719 congratulations on passing all three of the four.. if you feel that you passed Regs this time round — then you definitely did.
    Keep us updated. And once again Congratulations!!!!
  101. Anonymous says:
    BEC will post on Sunday??
  102. Sunday night…I think so anyway…
  103. Anonymous says:
    The Sunday night posting of NASBA scores makes no sense. In the past, if IL got grades on Friday, NASBA uploaded them Monday morning. Now, it seems as though NASBA would post scores on Friday evening between 9 pm and midnight. At least that is how I interpret what you posted.
  104. You’re right…that doesn’t make much sense…let me think about it more.
  105. Izabella says:
    this is so confusing.. i am not understanding… i am so burnt out with studying that a simple shift in schedule is confusing me.. I just want my score. :(
  106. Lawrence says:
    Wow, I’m sitting at work and I just discovered this site. It’s so nice to know so many others are out there freaking out about their scores too :) I’m rather new at this, first time through, I have AUD and REG down waiting to hear back on FAR (4/16/09) and have BEC at the end of the month. I didn’t know they actually told anyone the dates for score releases, of course thats not going to stop the checking of the score releases every hour, just in case. I just read through a number of posts and got a few chuckles. Though I must say, waiting almost 3 months to find out my first 2 scores didnt help.
  107. RP says:
    If that’s the case, then now there’s a possibility that we might receive our score on a saturday.
  108. k…this is what they’re shooting for (if my updated predictions contradict this, I’ll change them later…)
    AICPA Thursday release = NASBA Sunday evening (11pm-ish)
    AICPA Friday release = NASBA Monday evening (11pm-ish)
  109. Matt says:
    I took Reg back in late April and I have to say that the first SIM was un-godly difficult. It was more of a FAR SIM as opposed to a REG one. The 2nd SIM was fairly basic. The 2nd and 3rd Multiple Choice question banks were also increasingly more difficult.
    I am pretty pissed about that first SIM and I will be really devestated if I fail because of it.
    Did anyone else encounter such nastiness when they took REG within the past month or so?
  110. Anonymous says:
    Jeff,
    Is the AICPA release date a day sooner than the IL release date?
    If not, that actually seems like it would be longer, not sooner.
    Example: Last window, the AUD results were posted by IL on Friday. NASBA posted the grades on Monday morning.
  111. The AICPA release is the same as the Illinois/California release. When the AICPA releases scores…IL/CA/VA release the same day usually.
    The new formula is AICPA + 1 day (11pm-ish), except for Thurs/Friday AICPA release.
    ex: Illinois gets their score on Wednesday…NASBA Thursday night.
    Illinois gets their score on Thursday…NASBA Sunday night
    Illinois gets their score Friday…NASBA Monday night.
    Hope this helps..
    Jeff,
    I took REG on May 7 at 11:30 AM. Barring it does not fall into the 25% that is reported in the second wave anyway, do I stand a good chance of receiving my score in the first wave. Meaning did I make the cut for the first wave.
    Thanks
  116. old way:
    IL Thursday = NASBA Monday
    IL Friday = NASBA Tuesday
  117. May 7 should be the cutoff, so you stand a good chance of being in Wave 1…G/L Joe
  118. Anonymous says:
    I hate to harp on this, but that isn’t the way it worked last window. IL, CA and VA got AUD results on Friday, March 20. NASBA scores were not posted over the weekend. However, they were available early Monday, March 23. Why do you say a release to IL on Friday is NASBA Tuesday?
  119. Izabella says:
    thank god im not the only one confused by this…. I think i get it now though.
  120. Valid point on AUD…I went back and looked…Joanne e-mailed me on the 19th (Thursday) to tell me scores were coming out for AUD Friday…which leads me to believe that the AICPA actually released them on late Thursday night because they started popping up in California about 3am PST.
    AICPA Thurs = NASBA Sunday
    AICPA Fri = NASBA Monday
    …is still a good rule of thumb.
  121. Michelle says:
    I just came across this site yesterday, but it’s great. I’ve passed three of the four parts. I took FAR on April 27th and I don’t think I can wait until next week to get my score. I never knew all of this information before so it’s nice to finally know that there’s a system to the reporting. Before I would be checking all day everyday. I took BEC on Jan 5th and I checked everyday for almost 7 weeks. Thanks Jeff for this site. I’m not as stressed anymore. Hopefully I passed FAR and I can be done. I got a 74 on it the first time I took it.
  122. Anonymous says:
    This is so exciting. I had assumed the waves followed a monthly schedule and since I took BEC on May 5th I would have to wait until late June to get my score. Hopefully it won’t be in the 25% not released.
  123. If you have found the site to be loading slow – that’s because there’s a lot of people on right now (i.e. this time in the testing window). I’ve disabled some of the things like the video bar, cleaned up the side bar, and dropped the number of posts that appear on the front page. Hopefully you’ll find that the site loads faster…let me know if you have any problems.
    Thanks again for reading,
    Jeff
  124. Kristine says:
    This is such a great website with really good information. It’s nice to see that I am not the only person out there stressing. I had 3 parts passed and could not pass BEC (72 on the last attempt) so I lost FAR at the end of February. I am a tax accountant so I drastically cut back on my hours during tax season so I could take BEC again on April 3rd (waiting for score now) because I knew I needed to take FAR again in May (scheduled for the 27th) because I lose REG on the 31st. It is extremely stressful to know that for the last almost 2 years I feel like all I have done is work and study and was so close to actual being a CPA. The only relief I see is that hopefully, fingers crossed, I passed BEC and will pass FAR in 2 weeks. If that is the case, at least then, I can stop studying until I find out my FAR results. The 18th is my birthday though, so if there is no good news, I would prefer to not receive my score then! This website is helping me to not lose all of my sanity while trying to become a CPA. I wish everybody the best of luck while waiting for their scores and studying.
  130. Big Dave says:
    I should be getting BEC back Sunday night…have AUD Monday at noon…you better believe I’ll be checking my BEC score before taking AUD.
  131. BEC was released by the AICPA tonight…CA/IL/VA/(TX?) should get their scores tomorrow…NASBA on Friday pm??
  132. DM says:
    wow.. a lot sooner than I expected. should I be concerned now that my score won’t get released in the first batch if I waited until the predicted last day of the first window?
  133. Anonymous says:
    Jeff,
    If you look at JAN/FEB 09 Wave 1 — AUD was release by Illinois Thursday the 19th, and was Released by NASBA Friday Early AM.
    You are saying that now instead of Friday Morning it will be Friday night? I think instead it would be late Thursday PM.
    Previously, they would both receive scores on a day, Illinois system would update real-time, but NASBA had to run a batch update early in the AM. With the new way, aren’t they changing it so it runs 6 hours earlier? So it would be late Thursday PM?
    Just how I am understanding the new system.
  134. Phyllis says:
    I asked Jeff the same question yesterday. It seemed that with EVERY Illinois release in the last scoring window,both waves, NASBA updated the next business day.
  135. Anonymous says:
    Okay, I know I’m not the only one, but waiting for the score is killing me. I can’t sleep for over a week now, when the release date get closer, my situation is even worst!
  136. I don’t know if you were around last window or not, but if you were, you may recall that IL had problems with their IT system and they were delayed.
    old way: CA + 2 days
    new way: CA + 1 day…and then come out around 11pm
    CA doesn’t post online updates to the public like IL does, but CA candidates will let us know when scores come out for sure.
  137. updated score predictions (reckless and not for the faint of heart)
    * May 14 – BEC
    * May 15 – AUD
    * May 18 – REG
    * May 19 – FAR
  138. cpa_hopeful says:
  140. Anonymous says:
    So AUD will be released on 19th May NASBA???
  141. Those are NASBA…please don’t hold me to that…it’s an aggressive schedule reflecting that fact that NASBA is trying to expedite the process and get scores out ASAP…they just have a few more hoops that they have to jump through b/c they represent so many state boards.
    If NASBA releases BEC tomorrow night, I won’t be shocked…that’s all I’m saying…don’t hate me for saying that though if it doesn’t happen…if I were a betting man, I’d say it’s 40/60 Thursday/Friday pm.
    (I hope this is helpful…I’ll keep what I’m thinking to myself if it causes anxiety or frustration if it doesn’t happen :) )
  174. Your CPA score isn’t like your college GPA…it’s not normal for people to ask you what your scores were. There is no difference between a 75 and a 95…a CPA is a CPA.
  175. chris says:
    I want 300 points, no more and don’t need anymore than 300 to be a CPA!!
  176. KG says:
    It seems like scores on the CPA exam only matter in two regards:
    1. You passed OR
    2. You passed and received the Elijah Watts Sells award. I had an instructor in my accounting class that scored one of the highest scores on the exam in early 2000′s. She was featured in the Washington Post, yada, yada, yada, and after only a few years, made partner at her firm. Of course, she was wicked smart and incredibly driven, which may be the bigger deciding factor in her success.
    My husband gets hung up on the score too, but that’s because he’s in a world where 75=C, not 75=cause for serious celebration.
  177. chris says:
  190. re: “does this mean that AUD scores (NASBA) will be out tomorrow?”
    BEC scores will likely be out tomorrow via NASBA…*some* chance it could happen tonight. We’ll see when the AICPA releases AUD…everything hinges on that.
  191. Anonymous says:
    This is definitely repetitive, but in your conversations with the AICPA recently have they confirmed when scores are released? Meaning- If BEC is up for NASBA tomorrow AM or PM, then does that automatically mean scores for AUD wont be up until Monday?
    I wasnt sure if they clarified whether scores are posted at all on the weekend (either saturday morning or not)
    THanks!!! anxious………cross the fingers and toes
  192. The AICPA releases scores on the weekend…and NASBA runs their processes 7 days a week. If the AICPA releases on a Saturday though, NASBA is closed and some of the things that they have to do won’t happen until Monday with a hopeful Monday pm release.
    That’s my current understanding of the process, anyway.
    On Kentucky’s website when I log in to look at the BEC scores that posted today, it says “The latest exam section scores available in this application are 4/24/2009″. Do you think that this means that the cutoff for Wave 1 is 4/24/09? I am waiting on FAR. I sat on 4/27….I was really hoping to be in the Wave 1 release.
    So if I don’t hear you say that NASBA has REG scores, then it is pointless to check for my grade?
  221. Anonymous says:
    Jeff, do you think REG for CA will come out on Sunday midnight?
  222. Nan says:
    Looks like I’m the wrong LA – Louisiana, not Los Angeles.
    Still waiting for BEC score.
    So much for sleeping tonight.
  227. KF says:
    I’m waiting for AUD in NY as well! I experience a mini coronary every time I check the NASBA site…
    In the Illinois Board of Examiners webpage it says that the cut-off for Wave 1 is from April 1 through May 8, 2009. Is that true for the other states?
  238. cassie says:
    Yes jason it for all states. Unfortunately you are in wave 2. I work for the AICPA and we withheld your score for additional review. Please check for your score in the 3rd week of June. Dont bother checking before. Sorry buddy, keep truckin
  239. Anonymous says:
    Anybody from TN gotten BEC scores today? I took mine April 8 and nothing is showing up for me.
  240. Jason says:
    Is that so. What’s my state?
  241. Donna (TX) says:
    I’m new to this site and really enjoy reading all the feedback (much more enjoyable than studying-LOL). For the TX folk, I called the State Board today and they said they have already started releasing BEC. I sat for REG April 16 (my first attempt at the exam-excluding a very pitiful attempt 13 years ago) and asked them when REG would be released but of course they said they did not know. They did say they would send an email when scores are posted…
  242. Nan says:
    Try to chill…. Santa won’t be here for another few hours.
    I’m chilling out waiting for my BEC score by watching REG videos – test is next Thursday.
  243. Donna (TX) says:
    Nan-I’m just the opposite-waiting on REG scores, studying for BEC-taking it same day your taking REG.
  244. JZ (NY) says:
    12:00PM BEC release in Eastern time? Can’t wait…first attempt in BEC, hopefully when I check, there will be a MAGIC number. Please don’t be another71 or 74.
  245. Nan says:
    Good luck to both of us.
    With the schedule moved up at least you’ll know for sure about REG when you walk into BEC. I hate uncertainty. I’d rather know, whether or not the news is good.
    So here’s to good news….
  246. Ken says:
    is there a possibility that FAR scores for IL will be posted over the weekend, or is there any idea when it will post.
  247. I haven’t received any more updates since I was told NASBA was releasing BEC tonight…
    I am a new CPA exam taker. I took BEC for the first time 2/23 and the second time on 4/09. I graduated 5th in my class with a 3.86. This exam has made me feel so dumb. How do people with families and stressful full time jobs handle this!
Actually, I’m only working if I can work for myself, otherwise I wouldn’t be doing this….But I’m like you-been through a lot, but still anxious to know my score.     Hi Nan, Donna and CA! I passed with an 82 on BEC here in Texas. Life is good! I’m glad to hear that I am not the only “mature” person who decided to take on this punishment. I’m 41 and absolutely stressed out of my mind. This news, does, however, mean that I will have a great weekend and now be able to concentrate on studying for REG. I thought that I absolutely nailed the first test and came up short with a 73. On the second attempt, I was sure that I failed it and came up with an 82. Unbelievable. Time to put the ocd score checking behind me! Have a great weekend everyone.
  302. Phyllis says:
    Donna & Nan,
    You are not alone. I am almost 39 years old and the mother of five-18,14,13,11,8, I felt “unfinished”, so I started college in 2004. Next thing you know, I graduated in 2008 and went from working part-time nights to full-time days. I thought it would be more
    “fulfilling.” I don’t know what I was thinking. Now I get to add the stress of studying for this test onto a crazy schedule and a full-time job. Honestly, I should have just left well enought alone. Nobody had any expectations of me when I was the uneducated, stay-at-home mom of five children. Now, I can’t go back. Here’s hoping we all pass the sections we are waiting for so we can be that much closer to being done!!!
  303. nacol says:
  325. fyi…NASBA loaded them last night, but it didn’t “go”…NASBA IT people are working on it…got an e-mail this morning.
    I know it’s frustrating, but at least they’re trying to align score releases as close to CA/IL as possible…got to give them credit for that. Try to cut them some slack while they work out the kinks.
    Did they say any idea of if that means they might have scores out today (a mid-day release)? Or will they try again tonight, or anything else about a release time?
  338. Nan says:
    I’ve never seen Jeff even allude to this, but there is a “DONATE” button at the top of the page. If you have anything to spare after paying for the exams and review courses, you might consider sending a “Thank you” to Jeff for this website.
  339. me says:
    I second that. I emailed him saying he should advertise it but he ‘felt bad’. I think the small donations will easily tally.
  340. MillerTime says:
    “I second that. I emailed him saying he should advertise it but he ?felt bad?. I think the small donations will easily tally.”
    He obviously does that with the “discounts” he gives you guys for Yaegar. See above in the top right. Yes, you are getting a small discount, but by inputing discount code, its another way to determine how many referals he brings in for them and he gets a cut of every referal. So please don’t feel sorry.
    @ Angry cpa and all the other negative people
    What is with all of the Jeff bashing? If you check the posts on this thread and those of previous waves and you will see he often is correct. Now, when I say correct, I mean he is reasonably close. He may not have hit it on the exact day but, he gave you a frame of reference. Without his predictions, I’d probably be submitting from the time I finish the exam until the scores get released (whenever that may be). So, how about a little appreciation for the perspective he does give you. Think of where you would be otherwise.
    As for the donations / ad revenue… of course he needs to make some money. The guy is done with the CPA exam and has to pay for this website to keep it running. I say it is only fair that he receive some income (he probably is lucky to break even) for the work he puts into this.
    If you want to be mad at anyone, be mad at the AICPA for running the most ridiculously complex and confounding certification program out there.
    I’ve worked in IT long enough that I understand, all too well, when there is a system failure. Everyone is SOOOO accustomed to having instant real-time updates, and when a system crashes (as apparently happened with the NASBA score updating last night) nobody has any patience.
    When you’re still troubleshooting a problem, it’s impossible to say how long the fix will take. And even when the primary failure is fixed, you may still have to re-load the software and databases, and THEN you have to do data integrity verification before bringing the system back on line.
    Things were a lot more peaceful when scores came in the mail, and the mail truck only came once a day.
    That said, I’ll just stick my nose back into my REG book and wait for an update. Hopefully Jeff’s NASBA contact will e-mail him when they have a new projected score posting time.
    ‘As for the donations / ad revenue? of course he needs to make some money. The guy is done with the CPA exam and has to pay for this website to keep it running. I say it is only fair that he receive some income (he probably is lucky to break even) for the work he puts into this.’
    He also has to pay his snitches at NASBA. :)
How many of you out there think you will be this dedicated to helping others after you are finished with this grueling exam??? Just a little shout out from a fellow Topeka native. :)
    Hey Stephanie. I am from Texas and I got my scores for BEC. I passed – yippppeeeeee. Not sure why you were told scores aren’t posted. Maybe only posted for some test takers.
    Hey Jeff – You’re AWESOME! Your efforts are greatly appreciated!
    Mr. Angry CPA – go be angry somewhere else.
  377. Anonymous says:
    I sure hope NASBA didn’t screw this thing up worse by tinkering with the IT stuff.
    And why in the heck has AICPA not released the 2nd section yet ? They always fart around with this thing….never fails !! So they released BEC early; that is not good enough; BEC is easy to grade.
    And that reminds me, I’m glad the AICPA Rep. gave Jeff answers to many questions, but that the guy gave some cocky answers that kind of ticked me off. For instance, he said, “there is no curve and each score is independent of other candidates.” That is complete horse puckey, and he knows it is. Pschometrics is a form of a curve. It has everything in the world to do with the performance of the group.
  378. re: REG notes
    I can do that…they’re hand-written right now and I gave them to a friend who took REG this window.
    When I get them back, I can type them out. My notes are from the tax portion…for law/ethics, I just used the Yaeger handout (didn’t even use the Wiley book for that part).
    Hopefully you aren’t sitting for REG soon …
  379. LM says:
    I agree, this is a tremendously helpful website. I don’t understand how people can get upset at Jeff for not nailing the score releases perfectly. It does say score release “predictions” at the top.
  384. Unless NASBA fixes the IT thing and runs the process this afternoon – I doubt you see it before tonight.
    NASBA likes this site and has gone out of their way to keep me informed via e-mail so if something happens, I bet they’ll e-mail me and I’ll pass it on asap…
  400. CPA-007 says:
    This is the reply I got from the MN co-ordinator:
    Exams are scored and released at the same time during each testing window.
    All candidates should be advised that the 1st wave of score release will occur at the end of the 2nd month of the current testing window (May). Those scores should be available on-line or by mail no later than the 1st week of the dead month (June).
    The second wave of scores will occur around the end of the dead month (June). Those scores should be available on-line or by mail no later than the 15th day of the new testing window (July).
    NASBA is unable to determine in which wave an individual candidate’s score will be released by the AICPA. Also note that taking the exam early in the window does not guarantee that a candidate’s score will be released in the 1st wave.
    Candidates cannot request a second copy of scores for the current window until the 1st day of the new testing window (July).
    Exam scores are only available by U.S. Mail.
I have checked when my grades were posted for my last 3 exams against when Jeff stated that they were reported, and that seems to be the case.
    Am waiting for my REG grade back. I took it 4/7/09 and it’s my last one. I am DYING! If I need to study already then just bring it on. Put me out of my misery.
    GIVE ME MY SCORE! IT JUST ISN’T FAIR ANYMORE! YOU WIN, I AM BROKEN.
    Ok, got that off of my chest. I’ll be refreshing quietly while curled up in the fetal position.
  444. Nan says:
    Way back when I had a sales job where we created made-to-order products. They told us to never give the customer the actual expected completion date. Some 15% of the time it would be later, and those customers would be unhappy because we did not deliver “on time.”
    Instead they told us to add a few days to the expected completion date. The 85% of customers whose products were ready on the real completion date would be thrilled to get “early” delivery, and the rest would also be happy with “on time” delivery.
    Last night I kind of felt like the customer who got his product “late”, when the updated BEC score release forecast was thwarted by IT problems. But all that really happened was the folks who get scores through NASBA appear to be back to the original projected score release dates.
    Doesn’t change my score either way. I passed or I didn’t; I can’t go back and change that now.
  445. **AUD released by AICPA this afternoon**
  446. lacycat says:
    Jeff – does that mean we’ll be able to view the score sometime this afternoon? I’m in CA. Thanks.
  447. lmb - latestmusicblog.com says:
    Jeff:
    Does that mean that IL,CA,VA, etc. will get their AUD results later today? possibly?
    I’m in California. The Board told me scores are being released randomly and to keep checking online. I’m trying to remain patient, but the waiting really sucks. Nonetheless…I know that eventually I will have the scores…Being upset doesn’t do anything to get them any quicker- so I think I’ll get back to doing what I’m supposed to be doing…
  449. MillerTime says:
    Jeff:
    Does that mean I failed BEC?
  450. lmb - latestmusicblog.com says:
    MillerTime:
    No, it does not mean you failed BEC! It takes time to process depending on what state you’re in and also not all of the test results get processed for Wave 1. Just waiting patiently. Atleast give it a few days.
  451. Elderly Woman Behind Counter in a Small Town says:
    So Audit was released today but nobody has BEC yet?
    I’m confused.
  452. lmb - latestmusicblog.com says:
    AUD has not been released. Some people have received BEC scores, but it’s still being released. Patience is key!
  453. Auditing was released to CA/IL/Nasba, etc.
    CA/IL will probably release AUD sometime today (just a guess…send hate mail if I’m wrong…haha)…NASBA will release BEC if they get their system fixed tonight…probably release AUD over the weekend or Monday…dunno.
  454. Anonymous says:
    Jeff,
    Has anyone every gotten their score on a Saturday Morning?
  455. Here’s the process:
    1. AICPA releases to everyone
    2. CA/IL etc usually release pretty quickly
    3. NASBA has to wait a day or so to do something with the states
    4. NASBA uploads scores
    5. NASBA releases
    Currently, BEC is in step 4 for NASBA. AUD is in step 3 for NASBA.
    I hope I didn’t just create confusion…
    Can you specify which section it is when you post “the score is out”? I’m waiting on my AUD score. My state is NASBA state and I’m wondering it will be available tomorrow. Has anyone seen score being released over the weekends? I’ve been taking CPA exams for about a year and half. Personally, I don’t recall the scores ever released over the weekends. This waiting is killing me.
    Thanks all!
  506. Nan says:
    88 on BEC – first try!!! (I hoped for a 90+, but I’ll have to live with the 88.)
    Thank you, God. Now I can get back to REG prep.
    Jeff, your website just slowed down to a near-standstill.
  507. MW says:
    Nan,congratulation, you are short by 2 points :)
    I waiting for my REG and AUD scores while studying for BEC
  508. Denise says:
    Still no AUD in IL…
    My bad, forgot to mention that. BEC scores are out.
  510. Anonymous (NY) says:
    MA BEC is out…. finally passed!!!
    66, 74, 74, 77!!! Yes!!!
  513. Jim says:
    Has anyone heard when the MN BEC scores will be released?
  514. Nan says:
    “Nan,congratulation, you are short by 2 points”
    I’m tempted, but I don’t plan to re-take for a better score. Too risky. I might fail on the second try.
    For me: On to REG – FOCUS FOCUS FOCUS and get a 92+ on that!
    Good luck to you on BEC. Here’s hoping your other scores are good as well.
  515. MNWild says:
    Jim, I am in MN and my BEC is up as of 10:00pm. I passed but did worse than I did in FAR & AUD. One left, Monday!
  516. Nan says:
    “Nan?nevermind a 90. YOU PASSED!!!!!!
    time for that stogie and a brew”
    I’ll split it with you. You can have the stogie.
    Care for an ice cold glass of Guiness Stout with a thick, frothy head?
  517. NH says:
    From NH, waiting for my REG score, which I took on 4/1. Now I can’t sleep, can’t study. I passed two, and failed FAR. REG, waiting…
  518. Jim says:
    MNWild,
    Thanks for the update! Still no BEC score here, anxiously awaiting and trying to study for AUD. Clicking refresh every 5 minutes insn’t helping the cause.
  519. Ryno says:
    TN BEC scores are up on NASBA site. I passed with an 87!!!!!!! Now if I can just do the same on REG in 2 weeks.
  520. Anonymous says:
    It really ticks me off that nobody has received an Audit score yet. I am especially shocked that California has not posted any of them.
    I am under the impression that California uses a real time system, so if the AICPA sent the scores this afternoon, what in the heck is the CA Board doing?
  521. Stephen says:
    Ryno, TN BEC scores are up? For some reason mine isn’t showing up. I can’t stand this much longer.
  524. Donna (TX) says:
    Any news when REG scores will be released? It’s first one I’ve taken so I’m anxious to see how I did and compare it to how I felt and to know if my study technique worked-little late to change it for BEC as I am taking it on Thursday……
  525. Dana says:
    NY is out. I definitely thought I did horrible and ended up getting a 78, I am so thankful. Now I just have to wait for FAR on the 19…I pretty much have my section ID memorized.
  526. Stephen says:
    okay…so someone on here that has taken through TN has received their scores. A person I know that took it the same day as me found out tonight, but for some reason my score isn’t up. I’m tired, but keep thinking “any minute.”
    I have a feeling something is wrong with me in their system. My first test score (audit) wasn’t put up online because they just changed their laws to reflect being able to receive scores before completing 150 hours. So I got the last one by paper, I’m wondering if this has something to do with it. Although I thought all that was cleared up and good to go.
  527. Stephen says:
    listened to the show Jeff, tired to comment but took too long to register on the site. Didn’t have any questions, luckily I only learned FAS 141R and not 141.
  528. You’re lucky Stephen. We ran out of time, but Phil wanted me to mention that people sitting in July could very well could see original 141 questions b/c they could still be in the test bank until they get all of the originals purged.
  529. Stephen says:
    eh, that’s not good news…I take FAR on July 8th
  530. Anonymous says:
    nan, you did well on AUD; what study material do you use?
  531. don’t freak out though…he just wanted people to be aware of that possibility. With a test bank of thousands of questions, they might miss some of them.
  532. Anonymous says:
    Jeff, do you think REG for CA will release on Sunday night? Or do I have to wait until Monday?
  533. I’m going to say Monday at this point…unfortunately. With AUD not coming out yet via CA – I think you’re looking at Monday.
    Good night everyone
  534. Nan says:
    “nan, you did well on AUD; what study material do you use?”
    FAR – 85 (Nov 08), AUD – 98 (Feb 09), BEC – 88 (Apr 09). All first time. REG next week, score in Wave 2.
    I’m using the whole kit-and-kaboodle Becker package – CD-ROM course, Flashcards, and Final Review (cram) product.
    The local university instructors recommended Becker as the best “but it will be expensive,” or Gleim as the next-best for folks on a budget. So those are the only two I took a serious look at. They even had an arrangement with Gleim for former students to get a discounted price. (No such luck with Becker.)
    Hey Jeff,
    Why don’t you pick another number from your hat? the last ones did not work out.
  536. T-Bone says:
    Anonymous, do you seriously have nothing better to do on a Friday night than troll? If so, you might be a great public accountant.
  537. Anonymous says:
    no AUD results yet…so Jeff, are you thinking Monday for AUD?
  538. “Hey Jeff,
    Why don?t you pick another number from your hat? the last ones did not work out.”
    (as stated above in the post…)
    Revised NASBA release prediction:
    # May 17 – BEC
    # May 19 – AUD
    # May 20 – REG
    # May 21 – FAR
    update: AICPA released BEC earlier than expected?here?s some bold prediction updates (reckless and not for the faint of heart?)
    * May 14 – BEC
    * May 15 – AUD
    * May 18 – REG
    * May 19 – FAR
    I said that the latter predictions were bold and reckless…they were “glass 7/8 full” scenarios that I tossed out there for fun AND…I labeled them as such.
    The original (updated) predictions are still in play.
    I’ll consider your hat suggestion for Wave 2.
  539. re: AUD … if I had to guess, I would say that CA and similar states release AUD today…they’re pretty good about releasing on Saturdays.
  546. The Wolf says:
  558. saly says:
    Has anyone decided if NASBA will post scores on a Saturday or Sunday yet? I thought not, but I’m getting EXTREMELY ANXIOUS waiting on AUD!!!!
  559. cpa_hopeful says:
    From what I understand, it is highly doubtful that NASBA will post AUD scores over the weekend. Once they get the scores, they have to do some kind of confirmation with the states before they can post scores. Since the AICPA didn’t release the AUD scores to NASBA until Friday afternoon, I can’t imagine they had time to get that confirmation from the state Boards.
  560. saly says:
    Darn it… that’s what I was afraid of. I don’t know how people can concentrate on studying for the next part when they don’t know how they’ve done on the previous one!
  561. Vicky says:
    I jut got AUD! Yaya! 87 in California!!! Time to celebrate! 2 down 2 to go!!
  562. Stephen says:
    okay…yeah I’m getting hosed. Other people out of TN are getting their BEC grades, but I am not. So sad:(
  563. oz says:
    i took aud on 4//17 in ca and haven’t received my score, does this i did not pass?
  564. shweta says:
    CA Aud scores are out!!!..got mine jst awhi;e back…
  565. Nan says:
    To everyone who finally passed after repeated attempts…
    And to everyone who fell short, but is determined to try once more…
    I really admire your tenacious effort. I know how dismal it is, and how little support I have had, after multiple failures. And I know how difficult, but yet how necessary, it is to get up and keep going, acting as if the failures were successes and as if the vultures circling over me were actually eagles lifting me up.
    You folks are truly the bold and brave, with inner fire and spirit to be admired. You will make it wherever you go in life. I only wish there were more people like you.
  566. Anonymous says:
    In CA, haven’t received my AUD score yet (tested first week of April)- is it now safe to assume I won’t be receiving my score until Wave 2, or do they release the scores gradually?
  567. Nan says:
    On FAR, REG, and AUD, if you were “lucky” enough to get a new sim, you might automatically be kicked into Wave 2 no matter how early you tested.
    That’s because the AICPA waits until they have a statistically sufficient quantity of test-takers with the new sim before they finalize the grades on it.
  568. Anonymous says:
    It’s been so long since I took AUD (4/6), I can’t remember a thing about the simulations
  569. Anonymous says:
    Has anyone from Kansas received scores? Had FAR on 4/11, hoping I don’t have to go back and fight the monster again…
  570. Anonymous (NY) says:
    FAR wont be out yet right? Something like Tuesday or Wednesday I think. I can’t wait. That’s my last freaken part!
  571. Anonymous (NY) says:
  572. cpa_hopeful says:
  574. GA Pete says:
    Nan,
    “And to everyone who fell short, but is determined to try once more?”
    Thanks for keeping a positive outlook! I’ve been following Jeff’s blog for its therapeutic and comic value since about November of last year when I started this adventure, and it seems like there are a lot more negative comment posters this window. I enjoy the supportive and comic posts a whole lot more.
    Jeff,
    Thanks for taking the chance and posting the “reckless” predictions. I didn’t receive my AUD score (GA), but it made Friday at work a whole lot more interesting just following the comments here and hoping.
  575. MW says:
    I really hate this waiting period. It’s hard to focus on the next exam.
