Something that I’ve done somewhat under the radar is send people my extensive CPA Exam prep Financial Accounting and Reporting notes to people who have found themselves in “do or die” situations and more recently, I’ve sent them to all Club 75 members who are studying for FAR.
Through the end of July 2009, anyone who joins Club 75 will get my FAR notes as an added bonus. There are currently 22 Club 75 subscribers and the Google Group is active with candidates serious about passing the CPA Exam and there have been some great discussions going on.
After 7/31, my FAR notes will be available for purchase on this site. More to come on that later.
These FAR notes are very good and will be a welcome resource to anyone who uses them. If you are taking FAR this window, these notes will significantly reduce your review time. It is a 23 page word document. Note: they are pre-141R and NFP accounting is missing.
I am currently re-doing them and they will feature 141R and NFP when they are available for purchase.
Through 7/31/09, join Club 75 and get them for free.

It took you how long to pass the test and then only passed FAR with a 76. What makes you think your notes are so special?
They come smothered in chocolate.
LOL…does it come with a cherry on top?
no one bashes another71. he is the shining beacon in this god-forsaken journey of anxiety, failure, hardships, and then finally, one day, a passing score.
when will we be able to purchase them?
Its still in the works…for now they're free for Club 75 subscribers (FAR and REG -tax)
Before I walked into FAR I looked at Jeff'snotes and the third question was something I had read in the car just minutes before I sat in front of the computer. It never hurts to get another perspective on FAR. There is too much to remember and too much to go through. I know this was probably a coincidence but I'll take every point I can get!
am I too late?
Nope – I've extended it indefinitely…I need to change the heading…I'll
give them to anyone who joins…
-Jeff
HAHAHA – OK, so let me get this straight, a person has to pay $19.95 per month to get notes from someone who BARELY passed? This is a borderline scam.
Where do I go on this site to purchase the FAR notes?
They're currently only available with a Club 75 subscription. It's $19.95 a
month and you get the notes when you subscribe. You can cancel right away if
you want to…or stick around. There's currently over 40 Club 75 members.

Jeff, when will your FAR notes be updated with 141R and NFP? I plan to sit in early Oct.
I need to stop being lazy and jump on that…I'll make FAR my first
priority…
I'll commit to having it done by late September…better get working!
I got my BEC scores in the mail today and passed with a 79! I sat for BEC in TN on 8/1 so I guess my REG scores that I sat for on 7/2 is on the 2nd wave. Whoever said on here that if you don't have 150 hours that you won't receive online scores appears to be correct or at least consistent with my experience. Regardless, thank God!

So REG notes come with a sub to the 75 club too? how long are the REG notes? TIA
For now, they do…it's tax notes only (I used the Yaeger law handout for
the law/ethics portion…you would have to purchase a Yaeger REG product to
get those).
The notes are a scanned PDF of my handwritten notes…they're comprehensive.
It's really just a bonus for joining…I think most people like the
community aspect of the group more than anything…if you have a question,
it will get answered by a handful of different people usually.

The 2010 CPA Exam is in full swing and candidates are neck-deep in their CPA Review courses trying to fit in another exam in a shortened testing month.
Dates and news that candidates should know:

The Wave 1 CPA Exam score release is always my favorite because I average 50% accuracy on naming the exact date NASBA will release CPA Exam scores.
On the other hand, I am terrible at Wave 2 CPA Exam score release predictions – mostly because the AICPA can be very unpredictable in Wave 2.
It’s early January, [...]
Ten random stupid things said to candidates while studying for the CPA Exam:
I found out that I had failed FAR by 1 point and BEC by 2 (double ugh!). My boss offered to let me go back down to part time for the next two months while I study and retake the exams.
A coworker [...]

My interview with the AICPA titled “CPA Exam Myths Debunked” is featured in the September 2009 issue of “The Asset” magazine, which is published by the Missouri Society of CPAs.
The staff at The Asset did a great job incorporating the article into the publication.

Failing the CPA Exam is normal, but frustrating.
No curve. No re-score. No real-time scoring.

Time to think up a new excuse for missing family reunions.
There were two people who asked about this in the REG discussion for this month, and I found it worthy of a post. Time management on the CPA Exam is critical for REG and FAR. AUD and BEC? – not as much.
REG is probably the worst exam in terms of time management. They only give [...]
I knew coming out of the exam that I had passed, but I didn’t expect this. I’m paranoid so I’m whiting out my info until I have my certificate in hand.
