It’s Official: My CPA Exam Anniversary

NINJA CPA Review

Joshua GraunkeJoshua is a NINJA CPA blogger.

Well, it’s official, I have been studying and taking the CPA Exam for a year this month; queue the sad trombone.

When I originally started scheduling exams, I figured that this would be a 6 months tops kind of deal.

Little did I know what I was in for with this beast of an exam. Life is full of fun surprises though, and I am learning to roll with the punches.

I spent the week after my failing REG score trying to re-evaluate what I am doing wrong and what I need to change to get over this slump I am in.

With 2 exams down and 2 to go, I need to find a second wind quickly as now the threat of losing a credit is beginning to become a legitimate concern.

I am currently in the midst of Audit 3.0, and I am definitely seeing a return on taking more time to get familiar with the concepts.

My trending NINJA MCQ score is in the mid 70’s, so I am close, but could use these last 10 days to hammer out the concepts and make sure I am rock solid prepared for this exam.

In addition to the current study regimen, I have been planning for relocation to California the week before my wedding. Adding that wrinkle to everything else means I am not exactly flush with time for the next 3 months.

I have cut all Netflix, Hulu and HBO GO subscriptions until further notice (no Game of Thrones spoilers please!) and am going to be living and breathing audit reports until test day next week.

Short on time and freshly motivated, I am going to find a new gear this week and hopefully crush Audit before one more showdown with REG. Let’s do this!

Hi-ya!

I hear you on limiting watching Neflix and Hulu they are my weakness as well. I'm a big fan of Daredevil and Jessica Jones. Good luck on Audit.
