After taking REG, my fiancé and I headed to the smoky mountains for a much needed vacation.
Because it was my last section and because I took the exam as part of the extended window, I obsessed about my score more than usual.
There was no hard and fast score release date, so I treated every day as score release day.
Luckily, I only have internet in a wifi area, so I was able to distract myself from refreshing my score when we were away from the cabin.
An hour into the 6 hour drive home, I used my fiancés phone to check the Another71 Forum score release thread for any updates. Scores had been released!!
I refreshed and refreshed and much to my surprise a 58 appeared. I was not confident that I had passed, but expected to be borderline. I am still having a hard time understanding how far I was from passing.
For my other exams, I studied while working full time. For REG, I had the opportunity to study full time. And yet, I received my lowest score ever. I was initially intimidated by the material, but I have an all new respect for it after scoring so low.
As soon as I saw my score, I put the phone away and started listening to NINJA Audio. Its back to the grind and this time, I have to pass.
BEC expires at the end of February. If I dont pass this time, Im back to halfway there.
I start my new job as an auditor for a Big 4 in 2 weeks, so it is crunch time. Id love to take the exam in early January so I can focus on busy season, but I dont know if I will be ready.
Especially since my score was so low, I am starting my review program over and not cutting any corners. Maybe that is the silver lining. If I had scored in the 70s, I most likely would have underestimated the retake.
