Hi! Has anyone sat for AUD lately. I sat on Nov. 2 and was wondering what others thought of the test. I thought it was a difficult exam. I sat in the new orleans metro area after Hurricane Zeta and I was just happy the testing center had power!

I also sat in New Orleans on the 9th. I felt the same! Exam had many curve balls.

I just took the test today. I did not feel any struggle with the MCQ. However the SIMs felt overwhelming, other than the research I got which was straightforward. I would say AUD had the most troubling SIMs out of all the tests I've taken.

    FAR - 89 (Aug 24 2020)

    BEC - 95 (Sept 28 2020)

How did you guys prepare for AUD? I sit next Friday. Did you focus more on practicing MCQ/Sims or did you spend a lot of time reading material?

I used Wiley as my main study course. But I used Ninja multiple choice questions and sims & the Gleim test bank. I did multiple choice questions till I was trending in the 80's in Ninja. I did all 62 sims in Ninja. But I studied for about 8 weeks and 3 weeks of review. I work in tax and there were 2 tax deadlines so that is why I took so long to study for this one. I hope it is enough. If I pass then I am done.

    AUD - 82
    BEC - 76
    FAR - 81

From my experience it is important to be able to answer MC quickly on the exam. You need to pick out the surrounding info to get the situation, for example if the client is an issuer or non-issuer and also the type of engagement. However you should definitely practice SIMs in the days leading up to the exam. The ones I had on the exam were time-consuming but doable. Hence why you need to get thru the MC fast in order to have time to figure them out. For the material it is important to read through each engagement to know what type of assurance you are giving.

I sat for Audit this morning for the 2nd time n I found it to be much easier than the last window. Had 2 research questions, one was straight forward but the other one I could not find, spent over 20 mins searching for the it but ended up sort of guessing. My advice is to never spend more than 10 mins on a research Q unless u have a lot of time on ur hand. I thought the best way to go is not just do as many MCQ as possible but to dissect as many MCQ as possible to understand not only the right answer but also the other 3 wrong answers, as they r usually the right answers for other MCQ. To some1 asking about it earlier in this post, u must also do as many sims as possible to familiarize urself w them, last thing u want is to be stuck w bunch of sims w a lot of docs to read n spending most of ur time trying to figure out what needs to be done, it can get ugly real quick if u r pressed for time. If u don’t have a lot of tome to do 40-50 sims, just submit them blank to get the answer n study it backward, but make sure u understand how to do them cus chances of getting the same sim is very low, but similar ones, yes.

    BEC passed July 2020

    Reg  passed Sept 2020

    Audit passed November 2020

    FAR passed June 2021

    Done, done, done and DONE!!
