The audit exam is more conceptual than the FAR and REG exams. Because of this, I found myself reading each answer choice very carefully. One word can change whether an answer is correct or incorrect. My advice is to read each answer choice in the MCQs slowly so you understand why it's correct. Then, read the 3 wrong answer choices so you can nail down the concepts even more. SIMS are the best way to integrate everything you learned in the audit course into one large question, so I recommend doing this after you've nailed down the audit concepts.
