    Hello All,

I was just wondering if there is anything MORE special to be aware of when it comes to AUDIT section of the exam. Alot of people say alot of information can be found out from the RESEARCH tab in the SIMS part of the exam?? How is this different than any other sections.

Please help! My exam is in 2 weeks. Appreciate it much.

I had one AUD-related written and one anything-but-AUD-related written on my AUD exam. Generally I'd say it was typical (given my limited experience) from what I saw in my other section. If you understand the concepts in audit (internal controls, evidence, gaas/gaap, etc) well you'll be able to write on whatever they throw at you relating to AUD. For the random non-AUD topics you may get just write well to the best of your ability. I lean towards they are grading the writing more than the content. Write well based on what you know. Even if you don't cover the topic 100% if you write well what you do cover you'll get several points at least.

I think you can say about all three sections (AUD, REG & FAR) that you can find out certain information from the research tab, however, I feel that there is not time to mess around with the research tab on FAR and REG. There is just not enough time. However, AUD has plenty of time, so that tactic may work out better than with the other two exams.

Anything special about the Audit sims? In my opinion, absolutely nothing.

I can see how it's *possible* that the research tab would be able to help one in formulating an essay response in AUD/FAR/REG, but I didn't find it all that helpful. For me it was easier and made more sense to just try and plow through the memo-writing on my own.
