Anyone have last minute suggestions for audit? I take it on sunday. Ive gone through all the becker question for all 5 chapters 5 times. i feel as for part of it I memorize the answer. Ive been getting probably an avg of high 80’s low 90’s.

I feel if you know the material you will do well on simulations. I think practicing for sims for audit is a waste of time. Now today im going to study for about 8 hrs just reviewing one and two and ring the questions one more time. Then I will do chapters 3 and 4 tomorrow including questions for about 10 hrs.

Does this sound right? Any suggestions?

I got a 86 in Regs, 73, 74 in BEC Waiting on BEC now

It may be a bit of overkill assuming you learned the concepts as you went through the questions. When I did the AUD questions I looked for not only the correct answer, but also identify the concept being tested, what I knew about the concept, and then why the wrong answers were wrong. If you understand why the answer is right and why the wrong answers are wrong then you know the concept behind the question. Make sure you've done the supplemental MC questions as well.

Read through the simulations at least once even if you don't study them. The look and feel is similar to what was on the exam. Reading the given written answers is also helpful. The 2009 software had two additional AICPA released simulations you could download and work. If they aren't in the software you are using, download and read through those as well. Again, don't focus too much on them, but they are worth a read through.

My last week of AUD study was very light. In the week before I did 4 progress test of 100 questions covering all 5 sections and the 2 final exams (1 per day with the final exams being the last 2 days). The day before my exam I relaxed and did no studying.

I was scoring in the mid-80s to low-90s on the Becker questions. On the final exams I got 75-85%. The actual exam was easier than the Becker finals (got 94 on the actual AUD exam).

You sound like you are in good shape overall.

Dale thank you for the input. I think its a good idea to go over the simulations just to get familiar with the formatting etc.

I also think taking a break the day before is good as well. I feel like my weakiest point is chapter 3 and esp 4. $ def my worst chapter. As for the sampling I got a 70 and the govermental portion to be honest I never looked at because in my prior exam I felt there was no need to.

Thanks for the advice I really appreciate it.

Anyone have more comments that could help me out?

Thanks guys i really appreciate it.

Know forwards and backwards that funky chart that is drawn on the top of one of the pages about vouching and tracing between the actual inventory, computer records, and auditors' test data.

jwaballa – I agree with Dale. I think you should look at the simulations as well. I also think it is important to take the Becker Practice Final Exams as well. Review what you missed on them and try to identify weak areas. The day before I try to hit my weak areas the most. I have taken all the Becker Practice Final Exams for all sections and feel that they are all more difficult than the actual exam. If you do well on the practice final exams you should be in good shape for the real thing.
