When the cost of an updated book from all of the courses is relatively cheap (assuming you're their customer), not to mention an updated ninja book is $67 and you get everything else with it, I see no reason to do this – especially when the cost of a retake is $200+ and all of the time wasted.

    AUD - 79
    BEC - 80
    FAR - 76
    REG - 92

Agree with Jeff here. Take the cost of the upgraded book, and divide it by the anticipate 80-120 hours you'll be spending studying.
The cost per hour is really low for the book, and very high for the potential wasted time.
One missing piece of information could be the difference between a pass or fail. Hedge your bets.
