Audit Frustration

    Hey All-

I have taken Audit 3 times this year with grades ranging from mid 60’s to 73…I use Becker and the NINJA notes as my primary study material to study…I have seen the Becker material and questions so many times, for the last attempt I also bought and reviewed the Wiley book as a supplement and felt fairly confident about my retention of the information…yet my scores do not reflect this.

Right now I am sitting for BEC in December (which I got a 74 on) so I’m planning on re-taking AUD in mid January, and I would like some study input until then…I have not done audit work so my knowledge on the test is basically all based on the study materials, and I feel that I need another program to use as my primary material….could I please have some suggestions? Thanks in advance!!

    Keith

Did you handwrite (then rewrite) your notes?

When I took aud the 3rd and final time, I copied the ninja notes by hand three times. (10 pages per day for 30 days)

I can't prove that's what got me to an 84, but I believe it with every fiber of my being.

    FAR- 77
    AUD -49, 71, 84
    REG -56,75!
    BEC -75

Massachusetts CPA (non reporting) since 3/12.

    Hey-

That's a good idea…all bets are off, I need to get another one done! I'm going to take your advice and in addition buy the Wiley test bank…I already have the Becker materials, NINJA notes, and the Wiley book, so I know I have plenty of study material…it's just that I might need to see the stuff from another teaching method…not quite sure.

I appreciate the help and any further help would be awesome!

I agree with mla. You definitely need to create your notes. After learning/memorizing eveything in the notes, write them again, leaving out the things that are obvious/easy to you. Repeat. By the end, you'll have a pretty condensed set of notes that you'll know very well.

    - passed all 4 exams on my first try using Becker!

    Ethics: TBD
