Finally got my first pass after studying and taking exams since June! I got off to a rough start, didn't really know how or what order to take the tests (I've since learned) but I finally passed audit today! so now I have through June 30 2017 to pass the other 3 BUT i would love to pass them before the 2017 exam changes.

The real problem is that i JUST started my new audit job as a new hire so I'm about to go head on into my first busy season. I wasplanning on taking like 6 weeks or so to settle into the job and then try and study and retake BEC (it's the shortest exam and I only failed by 1 point last time) but my family is encouraging me to take through the end of March off because I have so much to learn and I'm going to be working a minimum of 55-60 hours a week

What do you guys think? Would it be way too much to try and retake an exam during my first busy season?

Busy seasons are very stressful at points and sometimes require A LOT of hours. I would do a week trial run before making any decisions. See how far you get in a week and then try making out a plan. If it gets too rough, it is okay to hold off until busy season is over.

One thing to remember is that this is your occupation and you are developing your reputation in this firm.

Yes, you should study. Here's why-like many of us it took six months to pass one exam. It happens no big deal. If you take busy season off from the exams and struggle a bit again, do you want the pressure next December of having to pass two more within six months and another busy season ahead of you? That eighteen months goes fast.
