So I got to the written communication section with 20 minutes left finished the first one, started the 2nd and cut it shorter than I’d have liked to that I could get to the 3rd with 2 minutes left and just kind of wrote down some key words.

Any one know how screwed I am for not being able to finish?

I took my first exam in AUG 2013, so glad they have access until you pass material updates

Really depends on how you think you did on the rest of the exam. I wouldn't go straight to “yea, you're screwed” based only on the info you gave. Some people don't do great on sims/wc and still pass.

    AUD: 72, 74, 78

Hey Jyoung.. a friend of mine was in a situation almost exactly like yours … ended up getting a 90..
Don't worry, you'll be fine if u did well on the rest of it!

Just because you run out of time don't mean a thing. It really depends how you did on the rest of the section. Remember that written portion counts only for around 15%. I would not worry too much about it.

Thank you @Painted_Jeans 🙂 I hope that ends up being the case for me, I actually struggled with audit because I learn best by experience and I never really worked in the audit field. I’m hoping FAR ends up being easier for me since I actually work or have worked with a lot of FAR type topics but we will see.

What do you think made it unique?

@jyoung117 it was unique in that the topics are not necessarily accounting related. So there is no “flow” to the test like others. It’s everything else about business I didn’t like, finance and Econ for example, which is why I majored in accounting and not in those haha so, I don’t have that “feeling” of I either passed or failed. I just can’t tell. With other topics I can study 1000 questions and I finally get it, but with financial specifically I did study all questions available and I never felt comfortable with it as I did with accounting ring related topics. Like I’ve said before though, God can move mountains and I am praying that my efforts were enough so he can move this mountain that is BEC for me into a pass grade! Huge congrats on your pass! Your perseverance and ethic is inspiring!!

There is no such thing as failing the CPA exam, there is only such thing as quitting the exam process. Never give up. There is a bright light behind the tunnel.
