What if you didn't SUBMIT the test

On the BEC exam my time was over and I didn’t SUBMIT my Writing Communication part. Is this still count or not?
I had 40 minutes and I did write all 3 written communication exercises(not sure right or wrong) and almost finished but I did not(forgot to) click “SUBMIT” before the time was over.
So, I want to understand whether the computer counted this part of the exam or not, because I got 68.
I have 2 different answers from my instructor and pro metric center: 1.if you did not press “submit,” the written communication exercise would not have been graded or 2.computer is saving the information every 10 seconds and the section will be graded regardless if you press the “submit” or not….
Which answer is correct? Who had the same experience?

I don't know the answer to your question specifically but one time my computer at prometric froze up, and I freaked out because I was on SIMS and I was terrified I would have to start over. The lady at prometric rebooted the computer and I cried because watching her reboot it scared the hell out of me, BUT she was right when she said it would be open up exactly where I left off. To the last number I put.. So it is true it saves continuously, but I don't know how submission works with all that.

From all I understand, it automatically submits the test if you run out of time and don't. I never had this experience, but have known many who have, and still passed.

This happened to me yesterday with BEC as well. Pretty much the exact scenario. Now I'm worried as hell. Does anyone know for sure? I need every point I can get.

Same thing happened to me with BEC the other day. Can anyone confirm this? It would make sense that it would just save what you had….

That is exactly what happened to me on BEC and FAR.

I took the time all the way down to the last second.

For BEC, I only knew exactly how to answer two out of the three essays. For the last one, I setup the 3-paragraph rubric–this is what I'm going to tell you (stem rephrase), this is what I'm telling you (possibly to expand into 2 or 3 paragraphs depending on what jogs my memory as I type), this is what I told you (XYZ can be very complicated. Please contact me if you have any questions). I then kept typing stuff that came to me into the second part until time ran out.

For FAR, I felt like I Aced MCQ but two SIMs kicked my ass. The new one and something else. I probably spent too much time on the former and thus didn't have enough time to fully diagnose and solve the latter. I finished the new one with about 5 minutes remaining. Then, I put as many numbers into the blanks for the latter until time ran out.

Based on my experience, they very much take whatever is entered as is.

I am answering to my question!
    I got email from NASBA.
They checked my examination file an confirm that all of my answers in all four testlets were captured, saved and successfully transmitted to the AICPA for scoring. It does not matter if you do not hit the Submit Button as everything is automatically saved.

This is great news. You should have asked them for your grade while you were at it, haha.
