Application Status?

I sat for BEC on 4/30 and my application status still says that my NTS has been sent. Typically, I receive a message stating that one or all of my exams have been received. I called NASBA to ask about it and they said that they don’t show that I have taken BEC. What does this mean??? Is anyone else getting the same message? I am really concerned.

Shawna, I wonder if NASBA is behind because they were shut down for a few days? Hold onto your document you received from Prometric after the exam. I'm sure the status will be changing!

Shawna — I was getting worried about my test being received, too. I took REG on 5/6/10. After logging out of the exam, I received the scary canned message from Microsoft saying there was an error (you know, the one which asks if you want to notify Microsoft of the problem). I had thoughts of having to retake the exam all over again. I reported the problem to the Prometric assistant, but she said they backup up everything every three minutes (and not to worry). So I've been sweating it out as I've checked the CA Board site several times a day, to see if they received it. I'm happy to say their site now shows that I attended the exam.

I'll bet you just got an answer from an uninformed staff member. I wouldn't sweat it. You'll be fine. Best wishes.

Thank you for the feedback!!! I really appreciate it. I actually called NASBA back yesterday and got a really nice woman on the phone. She said that NASBAs system is not updated since they were closed last week. However, their application status has no bearing on whether or not AICPA received my exam. That made me feel better!

I took my FAR exam on May 1st my status on Nasba says “Our records indicate that you do not have an active application or registration at this time” I called Nasba spoke to someone who said they show I attended on May 1st. I am guessing due to the flodd they are behind (I hope so)

But they do have record of it? They said that they don't have record of mine which is why I am sort of worried.

No – mine still says the same thing. But atleast NASBA told you on the phone that they show you took it. They don't even see that on their screen! I actually had issues receiving my NTS this time around too when I was trying to reapply for AUD. I kept having to call them back to tell them that my NTS was never received. I hope that doesn't mean that I will have issues receiving my scores. 🙁

I attended an exam on 5/1 but the status was never updated (as of today). I called NASBA last week and confirmed that they do have a record showing my attendance on 5/1. It's just that the status was not updated for some reason. I wouldn't count on the status information. You should probably call again and speak to someone else. They are usually very helpful from my experience.
