its weird that i was able to pass FAR the first time, but could not nail this down. Got a 63 and i was expecting like 80. I knew i didnt ace it but stilll WTFFFFFF!! So now i have AUD Jan 22, and retaking regs feb 19, so this will be in march. My question for you guys is, how do you study differently the second time around? What should i change? What should i do?? Any advice would be great.

    Thanks in advance.

I got a 60 on FAR the first time using Becker and then got the Yaeger Homestudy and got an 84. It helped to look at it from a different point of view. I studied more the second time around and took a few days off from work the week before the test to cram. I also memorized things like cash flows formats, equations, and some of the handouts Yaeger recommends to memorize.

I recommend leaving about 100 minutes at the end for the sims. Try and do that multiple choice questions in the 40-45 min per section. Also if you get to the first sim and are having trouble and spending too much time with it, it might be best to move on. I had to do this on the 1st sim, knowing that I have an entire 2nd sim to complete that might be easier. Once you get to the 2nd sim do the written communication, research, and go on to the rest then.
