Hello all, I’m Tramaine an accountant with about 4 1/2 years of experience. To make a long story short i gave the CPA exam about 2-3 years of my life from 2016-2018. Passed 1 (BEC) and failed a lot. Life got in the way in between and for a while i told myself i would do other things with my time than study for the CPA exam. Fast forward to today, I’ve found a new motivation to knock this obstacle down. And am using the new level of pay i could get as my sole motivation for passing the exam. An old coworker of mines took hers and passed and went from 75k to 111k between roles. All i needed to hear so now I’m back. Wish me luck!

I'm in the same situation. I Passed BEC several years ago and let everything else take priority over the exam process after a couple of fails on the other sections. I started back a few weeks ago with REG and have been very consistent so far. I think that's a huge deal when taking this exam. Everybody has off days, but be sure to keep pacing along and don't give up.

I think helping folks stay on track is one thing this forum can do. Post your progress and your breakthroughs as you go. Start a conversation about something you canā€™t quite grasp. This forum did so much for while I was studying. There is a study group thread for each exam. Folks studying just need to use them. Plus if you subscribe to ninja there are very active forums in the dojo! You can do this and I suggest you do before the exam and license requirements change again. Now is now! Set a goal; get it done!

Good luck! Studying for the CPA is quite the struggle, but in the end it will pay off. I used Roger CPA and his course helped keep me entertained and learn the information. At the end of the day, find a course that you enjoy and put in the hours and you will pass!

I have been procrastinating for years, and finally am determined to do it. I paid my NASBA fee, armed myself with a good review course (UWorld Roger), and am now trying my best to stay on the program. The prestige and the higher level of pay are driving me.
