hi, so to make long story short, I graduated from a university 1.5 yrs ago and took some time off to think about my future and finally I found that I enjoy accounting and am passionate about becoming a CPA. So I’m planning to start taking CPA exam at the end of the year.

Now I am having such a hard time landing an internship, even with the local firms. How can I get experience under a CPA? It seems big firms are very competitive and big 4 recruit from campus and I don’t meet their criteria for an internship. I called and e-mailed several people but no one wants interns…

1. Any suggestions?

2. Is big 4 not an option anymore?

3. How did you get your start?
