    Hi,

I would like to know when any of you use vlookup do you simply retrieve info listed in a table or do you have to perform calculations? Thanks again

I use vlookup at work all the time to retrieve info from a table or spreadsheet, I believe the vlookup itself is considered a function. Do you have a specific task you are trying to complete?

It depends on the task. Sometimes I just retrieve information, other times I nest calculations along with the VLookup, and still other times I retrieve the information and perform external calculations on the data.

Accounting Pilot is correct, vlookups can be very simple or complex, it really depends on what you are trying to do. If you have a specific task in mind feel free to email me at rien0323@hotmail.com.
