What to do after passing the CPA exam and before starting to look for a job

I passed my last section this past window but I cannot start looking for a job in public accounting until at least 8 months later. I am currently working for a company who is sponsoring my greencard. I cannot leave this company until I actually get my greencard which I estimate will be in the next 8 – 10 months. I’ve been feeling really down lately because I really wished I could start looking for a public accounting job but I can’t. I put so much effort in passing the CPA exam in 8 months and now that I’m done I find myself with anything to do but wait.

So I thought I could use my time wisely and maybe find something to do in the meantime to make myself feel better. I can’t go to grad school because: 1) I cannot afford it, and 2) I won’t have time to finish the program before I start working.

I was wondering if anybody has any suggestion of online courses I can take that are worthwhile. I would greatly appreciate your responses!

Have you looked at other certifications? People on these boards mention CFE, CISA, start working on the CMA exams. How are your computer skills? Lots of books/courses out there for that. What about soft skills? How is your public speaking? Toastmasters maybe? What about the enrolled agent exam? (I have seen that on this board, don't know what an EA can do that an CPA can not).
