Hi, I am attending a minor league baseball game this week with my local CPA society. I’ve gone to networking events in the past and worn business casual/business professional depending on the nature of the event. However, I have no clue what to wear to a baseball game. I went to their site and searched for photos of past events, but no pictures from the annual baseball game were posted. Normally, I would wear shorts and a baseball T-shirt, but I have a feeling that would not be appropriate. Yet, a suit doesn’t seem right either.

Also important to note, it will be 90+ degrees and we will not be in a suite.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

I agree, or dress like you just got done hitting 18 at the local country club, as many of them will also just be coming from there!

Why don't you just ask? But a baseball game in outside heat usually means to me a casual polo shirt and some nice shorts. Unless you do want to say you just came from work and suffer in the heat, go for it.

Are you going to the Richmond Flying Squirrels game? If so, shorts and a nice shirt will be fine. People seem to wear what they feel comfortable in at the social events. Have fun!

For the baseball game – shorts sound good. Most people will change before the game. Just dress casually and you will be fine.

Thank you all for your advice! I went with a casual skirt and semi-dressy shirt. Nice and breezy, but definitely dressed a tad nicer than the rest of the attendees- you could tell that I was one of the job seekers! Next time, I'll definitely have to go with the body paint.
