Will they rescind my offer?

I’m a first semester MAcc student with a 3.2 undergraduate GPA and no graduate GPA yet. When I applied to Big 4, faculty member at school suggested that I list an estimate as my graduate GPA since there was no N/A option. When I applied online, I had taken 4 midterms out of my 5 classes and scored around 98-100% on each, so I listed my graduate GPA as 4.0. Turns out my 5th class is tough and I will possibly get a C which will result in a 3.6 GPA after this semester. (4.0 x 12 credit hours and 2.0 x 3 credit hours averages out to 3.6)

I received a Big 4 offer this last week and I’m worried that when they ask for transcripts, they will see that my first semester GPA wasn’t a 4.0. Should I contact my recruiter or just let it be?

    Thanks

You’ll be fine. Let it be.
Big 4 just want new bodies as the turnover is so high given ridiculous hours year round.

    FAR - 80 (4/1/2019)

    BEC - 82 (9/7/2019)

    AUD - 81 (11/23/2019)

    REG - 94 (3/9/2020)

Definitely don't worry about it. 3.6 is a plenty high GPA they'd have given you an offer either way. If it will mAke you feel better reach out to your recruiter and say what you just told us, but they probably won't even notice or care. And if they do they'll reach out and you can just explain your original was an estimate.

    Hang in there...
