    Hello Everyone,

I am new to this forum and need your help.

I have recently registered for the CMA exams and need your advice. Please suggest the best prep guide to use.And also how much time do I need to prepare for the first part. Currently I am unemployed.

I am using Gleim CMA. If you passed CPA already, CMA is not that bad at all. Part 1 is like the combination of FAR, BEC and AUD. Part 2 is the combination of BEC and FAR, finance is heavily tested in this part.

    CPA, CMA

Master of Professional Accountancy (MPA) 12/17/2014

    BEC 76 (10/3/14)
    FAR 75 (10/24/14)
    REG 83 (4/6/15)
    AUD 75 (4/20/15)
    Anticipated Licensure: August 2016

    CMA part 1 passed (6/15/15)
    CMA part 2 Passed (9/4/15)
    Anticipated Licensure: August 2017

How much time does each part take on average.

On average I would say 2 months for each part.

If you have done CFA L1 & L2, I would say you will probably find part 2 fairly straight forward which you might want to take part 2 first. A month is enough for each part if you cram.
