    My background details:

I completed M.B.A from accredited university in India. I have 0 years of experience in US & searching for a job, preparing for CPA (failed 2 exams) full time with 2year old todd.

So, Do I need to proceed any online Masters to get a job? or Just concentrating only in CPA. (I know job market is down either).

If anyone consider me to proceed Masters, please recommend me for online Masters/ online courses related to tax/ auditing/accounting?

Which is the best online university around silicon valley, California?

Please suggest me and share your thoughts.

I have same background as yours . I do not have any accounting background also ,my bachelor degree is e business (crossover EE & BUSINESS) and now I am attending local community college to obtain knowledge of accounting sitting for the CPA test. If you just wanna to take test directly , you can take the classes in local commnity .

BTW ,One of my friends graduated form CSU -sacramento as MSA,(this is online MSA program I know so far in silicon valley ). Good luck

I would look at what San Jose State has to offer… I know when I was researching the 150 hour requirements I found this https://www.sjsu.edu/acctfin/docs/150-Unit%20CPA%20Requirement.pdf

I think the cheaper you can get the credits you need, the better. I'd go with a State University or Community College.

As far as the MBA, the same firms recruit State University students and UC Students…

    FAR - 7/13 - 72, 11/13- 74, 2/14- 82!!! Best score ever (for me)!!!
BEC - 1/14 - 75!!! Perfect score! First Pass! YAY!!!
    AUD - 8/14 - 80!!!
    REG - 5/14 - 72, 10/14 - 66, 1/15 - 78 - DONE FOREVER!!!
I did 5 of the UNA and CPAExcel classes to earn units.

    @ StephAV:

Thanks for the link. I am looking for colleges just to brush up my skills and also to get a job. My goal is to pass at least 1 exam in the next window. Good Luck.

    @ rubyslippers:

You are gonna get thorough knowledge from these courses. I am sure you will ace the exam after your courses. I am working hard to finish four monsters before 12/31/13 (fingers and toes crossed).

Thanks for your reply. Good Luck for your preparation.
