    Hi All,

I have recently passed my CPA exams and I am also a Chartered Accountant from India. I am currently thinking of pursuing a short but relevant course in the coming 6 mths. I am considering the options of pursuing CTP course (Certified Treasury Professional) or CISA (Certified Info. Systems Auditor).

I would really appreciate your comments and advice on both these courses. To give u a background, I have 4.5 yrs work exp. in auditing, financial reporting and SOX compliance. So in the light of my experience which course would be the most suitable for me?

Also how much recognition does the CTP certification have in the US and in Indian job markets?

    Thanks

I can't speak to India or CTP (I've never heard of that one). I can tell you that the CISA is pretty well known. I work on the IT audit team at my firm and I would guess that two thirds to three quarters of my team has the CISA. It's not the hardest cert to get, but it does require some IT audit experience in order to certify. If you are interested in IT audit or supporting the IT part of some financial audits then maybe look at the CISA.
