Hi. I currently live abroad and was considering taking the EA licensing exam. I was wondering if anyone could enlighten me on the job prospects and whether being an EA is a respected position. I am taking the exam in hopes that I can be with my fiancee so that I can have job opportunities when I come to the US. If anyone else has better suggestions to different fields within the financial sector that an foreign individual can do such as the EA licensing exam please let me know. You may have luck with law firms that is looking for someone versed in taxes, tax prep companies, or the good ole IRS, Some accounting firms may look at an EA from the tax prespective but there is not a whole lot for EA. ( that I know of anyway).
