Hi Everyone! So I have been on the CPA exam journey for almost 3 years now and I am fed up with trying to study and then giving up a week or two later and then restarting again. Anyway, during one of my CPA exam testing breaks, I invested in the CMA exam material and paid the fees necessary to take the exam. I feel like the material is so much easier. I am studying for Part 2 right now and I have been doing awesome. I see how a lot of this content is what I once studied when I was taking BEC (I got close but didn’t pass). So now I am wondering if maybe I should try and take Part 2 of the CMA at the end of May and then BEC in mid June. I would be ecstatic if I could get both certifications. What do you guys think? Is it overkill?? Can this be done?

I would pass the CPA first, it's extremely difficult to study both. Don't waste your time and money.

Not recommended since CPA exam is very difficult but if you feel confident you can pass both then go for it! Its your own life so you make that decision.

I should probably explain that the reason I wanted to take both is that the CMA seems much shorter since it's 2 parts rather than the 4 for the CPA. I need to get ahead somehow in my career. I figured I could get the CMA first and then work on the CPA.

Focus on one at a time. CPA first. You don't want to pass 1 or 2 CPA parts then struggle with a section while balancing CMA studies and then lose your CPA credit due to 18 month window.

    FAR - 76

    AUD - 89

    BEC - 84

    REG - 86

I did the CPA and CFA at the same time and know a couple other people who did the same. The CPA can be studied for in short sprints, so it's doable, but I don't advise it. It's very easy to let your life get away from you with nonstop exams.
