CMA part 2 Exam Jan 29th using Gleim

    I am scheduled to take the exam Jan 29th for Part 2. Im using Gleim. Good MCQs. I am struggling a bit with CH 6

    I would absolutely commit all ratios to memory, no way around that. Next, begin to understand the relationship between business activity and the ratios. Ex. What happens to ROA when you change from capitalization to an operating lease?

    When you get an answer wrong make sure you have a full understanding. Make additional correlations if you can. Then, make another quiz out of the ones you answered wrong and make yourself go through all the necessary steps to re-answer the question.

    @EasyDoesIt81 thanks so much for your advice. I just finished reading the book and I am going to try for 50 MCQs a day per chapter until end of December and then 50 a day starting in January. Any suggestions for essays? You seemed to have nailed both parts

    Yes. Put down as much as you can even if you are faced with a calculation and you feel it is incorrect. The more work you show and the more you explain what you are attempting to do, the better. I know for a fact one of my calcs for my Essay question in part 2 was incorrect but I did a decent job at explaining.

    Since you're taking part 2, definitely commit to memory that IMA Statement of Ethics, knowing the all line items associated with the principles and standards. No test is the same, but ethics definitely was one of my essay questions.

    Overall you seem to be in a good place, if your only struggle is Ch. 6 with well over a month left and you are scoring 80% or higher on Gleim MCQ, you should be fine! I would take a least 2 practice test between now and your exam date to make sure you are managing your time correctly.
