GuestI still haven't got the scores yet in CA.
August 7, 2020 at 11:24 am #3069690guppies617
Participant@fsugirl2005 Don't give up! I have been on this CPA journey for over 10 years, have a 1 year old, and sat for the exams over 30 times, of which half of it was in the 70-74 range. But, I passed three parts so far. I, too, have my own practice and am doing pretty well (professionally and financially) without the CPA letters. What really helped me was going to therapy and finding out that I have test taking anxiety!
So maybe there is some mental block that you haven't discovered yet, and maybe not, but don't give up! Your scores are SO CLOSE!!! It would mean so much more once you get it! Hang in there!

ParticipantI fucking hate CBA! My last section BEC… all night no sleep to find out I failed with 74! After the exam, I thought I did good… This exam is a joke… just look at my scores, I had no life at all over a year.. There is no way I'm going to give up.
FAR - 73, 78 (WileyCPAexcel 3,000+ MCQs, 50 SIMs)

NEVER GIVE UP.

ParticipantI made a stupid 67 on REG. It's so weird because that is the only time I have taken a section and felt so confident walking in AND out of that testing center. I just knew I had passed. Nope. Big fat fail! Ugh. I am just going to cram and take it again in 10 days so I can make the next score release. I just want to be completely done with tax and never have to look at it again. Also, would studying for REG and AUD at the same time be a terrible idea? Or maybe even all three of my remaining sections. I just want the exams to be over! I have the worst test anxiety so the sooner the better and I'll never have to deal with this ever again!
Just trying to pass this thing.August 7, 2020 at 12:11 pm #3069741Amanda
GuestJust an update for those in Cali, my passing score for BEC has been posted.

ParticipantSo I have cried all night, getting a 73 on REG is so close, yet so far. Got my score report this morning, INDIVIDUAL TAX & PROPERTY TRANSACTION are my weak areas. Got myself some cake and a glass of wine, Ready to hit the ground running again.

Participant@guppies617 Thank you! I know we will do this. It's a trial and error of what study methods and programs work for you. When I saw your username, I thought about Bubble Guppies. My kid loves that show and I sing along, my 40 year old self..LOL.

ParticipantI just got my score report. You know what? They dinged me on Ethics. Ethics???? Seriously????? I missed passing because of ethics???
Anyway, I was weaker in SIMS too but I kind of knew that going on. Otherwise, I was comparable in everything else. That makes me feel like I did indeed know what the heck I was doing. Now, I just have to go in and master working on SIMS and not getting anxiety come test day. The problems are just so overwhelming with all those exhibits.

Participant@chrissy That's the spirit! Cry it out and keep it moving. Now we know our weak areas. You see my 73 on REG don't ya? I was kicking myself after that score. *sigh*
Good luck!

Participant@fsugirl2005 – Those score reports are a little out there. I scored a 74 on AUD this time, and my score report shows me to be weaker in SIMs and one of the content areas, but I was “stronger” everywhere else. Oh well, back to the grind!
AUD - 84

Participant@CH89 Was your weak area in one of the heavily weighted areas? Ethics isn't that much but put up against my SIMS weakness, I guess it equaled a 74.

Participant@fsugirl2005 – Yes, I was weaker in the area that has the most weight, which accounts for 30-40% of the exam. I guess, I did not expect to be stronger in the 3 other areas. I take this report with a grain of salt though.

ParticipantCongratulations everyone who passed! I would need to get back to my REG books again and give it my best shot in order to get done with CPA soon!!
Could you guys tell me anyone who gave the exam on July 23( last date) received their scores this time? I'm planning to give my next exam on the last date to save myself from the result anxiety.

GuestI still haven’t received my score yet. Took it on the 23rd as well. Spoke with CBA and they told me around noon CA time that they are still uploading the scores and told me to contact them on Monday if I do not receive the score by then. Did this all thru FB Messenger.

GuestIt is 3:30 PM PT and still no score in CA for BEC. Took exam on 7/23. Anyone else in the same boat?
August 8, 2020 at 6:45 pm #3071151RobOh
Guest@lisl that is great news. Good luck on FAR, you will do great!
@Dima It is possible that yours is going under a second review which usually takes about a week I think. I would look at that as good news because it means that your score is close above or below the 75 that they are giving it a look on the WC. I’m pretty sure that’s what they do unless someone wants to correct me.
