@Recked – I have been able to login via cellphone. Every time I try, I have to go through a two step verification, where they would ask me 2 security questions.March 6, 2018 at 10:03 am #1725772ReckedParticipant
Yea, I get to the security questions everytime, but then apparently I fail the security questions.
Might have to redo my security questions but I'm 99% sure I am answering them correctly. Very weird.March 6, 2018 at 11:01 am #1725832Nikki374Participant
@ba199 Thank you for posting this. I could not figure out how to register for Ohio!March 6, 2018 at 11:14 am #1725847Tax CollectorParticipant
Would not have been able to create this without this guide. Thanks so much! Did anyone actually get a score early?March 6, 2018 at 2:05 pm #1725991charlesrskinnerParticipant
Jurisdiction code is: NY
Candidate ID is your NY ID NOT NATIONAL ID! In my CPA Central it is right next to the word New York but take off the zeros. Took me forever to stop trying to use the national id.March 6, 2018 at 7:10 pm #1726343Operation_CPAParticipant
Had the EXACT same issue last night and finally got through once I realized this lol.
Also – if we are applying for an NTS, do we go through CPA Central still?March 6, 2018 at 8:09 pm #1726399DiParticipant
“Texas candidates should note there are nine zeros in front of the actual jurisdiction ID number. All zeros must be entered for the NTS to appear.” and use control number from Texas State Board of Public Accounting website.
Finally was able to log in.March 6, 2018 at 8:12 pm #1726412BourneParticipant
Lol why are all states different? I don't understand their theoryMarch 7, 2018 at 7:44 am #1726633SGoodParticipant
Because they don't want to follow someone else's rules.March 7, 2018 at 12:29 pm #1726907TanyaHargerParticipant
Oregon. Anyone able to create an NASBA CPA Candidate account? That looks to be the first step and Oregon isn’t in the drop down menu!! I’ve tried calling and emailing NASBA. I may try calling again. Maybe another person will know. The Oregon board doesn’t know.

Has anyone been able to login for Florida? I cannot get mine to login without the Gateway user not found errorMarch 7, 2018 at 1:10 pm #1726976AnonymousInactive
@taynyaharger if you're seeing a drop down menu for a state, I think you're in the wrong place. That was my first reaction because Texas is also not on the drop down…make sure you're on the right site!March 7, 2018 at 1:46 pm #1727015
Any Illinois people having trouble? I am using what IL gave me and keep getting invalid user combination.
I called NASBA and no luck.
I have a score releasing tomorrow and need to know.
I tried all the ticks people have mentioned and the forum and still nothing
Thanks!March 7, 2018 at 2:02 pm #1727041TanyaHargerParticipant
An update for Oregon. You only need to do the one registration with the Jurisdiction Candidate ID and not sign up for the NASBA CPA Candidate account because our initial application is through our state board. Ignore the warning. It’s a long hold to get through to NASBA on the phone but they do eventually answer.March 7, 2018 at 2:23 pm #1727042AnonymousInactive
@ashley holada Don't you get IL scores from the IL board? The gateway says scores are not provided by NASBA for IL, so I don't think you'll need it for score releases…March 7, 2018 at 3:31 pm #1727120March 7, 2018 at 3:38 pm #1727123AnonymousInactive
@ashley holanda yes, that's correct. I've seen your posts scattered around in a few places, but I can't remember exactly what issue you were running into. Did you receive a jurisdiction ID in an email from NASBA? And are you going to candidate-portal.nasba.org and clicking “register” on the right side of the screen?March 7, 2018 at 3:39 pm #1727125AnonymousInactive
Sorry I keep butchering your name!March 7, 2018 at 4:09 pm #1727162
@kittenpants, I was getting an invalid combination. I had to email my board to get my ID number. I got a hold of someone at NASBA and looks like I have to update my email with the IL board since I registered under my college email and since have change it to my personal email but I don't think the change happened on the back end? Since I don't need it for my score tomorrow looks like I can sleep ‘easy' tonight and worry about it after I get my results.
That's ok! thanks for your help. I feel like I am the only one in here that has no clue how all this works and what the changes mean for the different states because it seems like these changes are being made to make things easy, uniform and in one place.March 7, 2018 at 4:20 pm #1727173ndiehl17Participant
I called NASBA today and the (very impatient and rude) customer service rep said that the scores will NOT be posted on CPA central–I must use the new gateway. This has me confused though because my BEC on CPA Central sent from NTSISSUED to ATTENDANCE this morning–so if they're not updating CPA central will it just say this forever?March 7, 2018 at 4:59 pm #1727233SgoodParticipant
NASBA said scores will be posted to cpacentral.org. That site is not going away.March 7, 2018 at 6:16 pm #1727272Jmac645Participant
I FINALLY got it to work. Wow, almost as stressful as the exam itself. In NY, like others have said, it is the Jurisdiction ID minus the first 0. That didn;t work for me, but I finally got it once I realized I wasn't writing my exact name, as I was using my abbreviated name. If it is not working for you, this may be way. Make sure your information mirrors what's on CPA CentralMarch 8, 2018 at 1:42 am #1728070OnToTheNextOneParticipant
What an awful site, I tried to logon again and now am not able to. I've waited an hour for an e-mail to give me a new password and nothing is happening. Why did NASBA think this was a good idea?March 8, 2018 at 3:29 pm #1729721AnonymousInactive
I was able to register after deleting the leading zero. This is the only way that we will be able to get scores from now on?
What about that site where you just entered the Section ID and birthdate?March 8, 2018 at 3:42 pm #1729766SGoodParticipant
That site you were directed to back then, when you used the Section ID and DOB, was Gateway…. That's why they called this one 2.0.March 8, 2018 at 4:38 pm #1729958AnonymousInactive
ic, now I have to login and everything, seems more complicatedMarch 9, 2018 at 9:30 am #1730807DoubleBogeyParticipant
I register through my state Board.. Is there any way for me to access the NASBA score check function? I cannot find an 8 digit code/Jurisdiction ID on my NTS.March 10, 2018 at 7:26 am #17321284HokieMomParticipant
I registered yesterday. Didn't have a problem with that. But none of my old scores are showing :(.March 10, 2018 at 9:33 am #1732236AdamK127Participant
All, I just got off the phone with NASBA. If you are getting an error stating that they can't find your information. On your candidate ID, delete the 0's in front of your ID. So for example in my situation (I am testing in PA). It would be
Jurisdiction Code: PA
Juridiction ID (on CPA Central): 012345
Enter the Jurisdiction ID Like this on the Gateway:12345
Hope this helps everyone! He said they are working on getting this updated.March 11, 2018 at 6:52 pm #1733747AnonymousInactive
you see the old scores on CPA Central – NASBA. I think that other login is just for new scores.
