I have the Becker flash cards and was thinking about purchasing the NINJA flash cards for additional study. Are they worth it? Has anyone else used them? Same cards as Becker?

I'm sure that if you're going to buy flash cards, Jeff's are awesome. I didn't use his flash cards but I am judging based on how useful his Ninja notes were. I loved the Ninja notes. 🙂

However, I advise that you make your own flash cards if possible. I believe that half the reason that flash cards work is because you spend the time making them. Just personal opinion though!

I don't know about Becker's flashcards, but the NINJA flashcards take the NINJA Study Guide and basically “test” you on the material and uses an algorithm to keep testing you on concepts you're weak on.

It's a desktop application (Windows and Mac)

Did you get the Ninja flashcards and do you like them? I pushed back my FAR exam because there's way too much to memorize and I can't seem to remember anything!! I do have my own flashcards that I made but maybe Ninja flashcards or Ninja notes would give me that extra boost? I've already gone through all the material (I'm using Yaeger) – I just need to practice and memorize.

My brain is full, I think. It doesn't want any more information.

Highly recommend using Wiley test bank!! I haven't taken FAR yet (it's a beast), but it's helping me a lot with AUD.

I used Ninja flashcards for FAR and REG. I really liked the question and answer format, and if you have an Android, then you can download any flashcard app that lets you import .xml files and have the flashcards on your phone. I'm always messing around on my phone at night before I go to bed, so instead of playing games now i just do flashcards.

I also have the Wiley flashcards for FAR, downloaded them as a nook book and read them on my phone nook app as well. They were ok for reading, and i liked all the journal entry examples, but the Ninja flashcards are the only ones out there that actually quiz you.

@CalCPASoon, I have android! and I totally didn't know that this was possible!!! Do you have an app name that you recommend? This will be so awesome and useful for me to use and practice when waiting in the car for my girlfriend, shopping, waiting in line, etc. Please let me know if you can recommend an app so I can install Jeff's Ninja Flashcards.

I have the Ninja Flash Cards for FAR that I purchased from Jeff! I haven't used them really all that much yet because I'm still rewriting the Ninja Notes, but I have installed the flashcard software and played around with it for a couple of hours (this was before I even started studying the material).

From what I see, I think it'll be extremely helpful when I come around to actually using it for practice. It'll ask you questions, and you either know the answer or you don't, there are no multiple choices. You have the option to show the answer and then rate yourself if you think you are familiar with the material or not. If you rated yourself poorly, the question will reappear in the cycle until you rate it as being familiar / confident. I actually look forward to using mine as soon as I finish my Yaeger DVDs and rewriting the Ninja Notes.

I used one called Anymemo, but any flashcard app that lets you import .xml files would work.

I just downloaded anymemo for this purpose. What do I do now? How do I mount the NINJA notes onto my phone? Thanks for your help!

Save the ninja flashcards onto your phone. I plugged my phone into the computer and used it as a usb, saved the flashcards to the sd card.

In anymemo, go to the “misc” menu and click “import”. Then select “import mnemosyne xml”, navigate to the place on your phone where you've saved the ninja flashcards. If you dont see anything right away, click on the elipses (…) next to the green arrow on the top of the screen. Select the ninja flashcards you want to import.

Then go to the “open” folder and select the flashcards that you've just imported.

Edit – NINJA Flashcards are now iPhone & Android compatible with easy import instructions.

I have the NINJA flashcards, but would like to just go through them all. Instead, it asks to grade, but I would like to go through them a couple times before I actually grade myself. It seems to keep hanging up on the first 10 or so and repeating those.

Should I mark them all as easy?

Hmmmm maybe the “take quiz” option is more of what I should do….
