NINJA Question –

I remember when I was in high school my math teacher told us to always rewrite our notes, and rewrite them again, and that it would just remain in our brain that way.. I was young and stupid back then so I never took him up on it. I bought your ninja notes and there it was that advice again…wow is it the best advice! It is the ONLY reason I passed any of these exams. The MCQ help tremendously, wiley is wonderful (for the most part), but your ninja notes are such a great way to review and rewrite. I don’t think anyone should take their exam if they don’t leave enough time to rewrite their notes or the ninja notes.

I found out I passed FAR last night, and I never in my life thought I could pass it.. I truly thought I was too stupid to pass FAR. The others were do able (in my opinion) but FAR was real.. it was accounting, and I just thought I was too dumb OR NEVER going to comprehend all the material. WELLLLL I did it, and all the mental breakdowns, dramatic prayers to God, and the studying, it was all worth it.

I know this sounds soooo crazy, but even looking back I am glad I failed some sections, it taught me so much about myself. I learned I don’t give up, I always thought when the going gets tough.. I walk away. I bounced back every time, even with tears I didn’t let myself quit.. I do have another, but if history is any indication, my trending score, and 2 week review time, that I’m not even worried about passing it.

I truly feel like I am done, FAR makes me feel like I can do anything in this field. OKAYYYY I had to do this post, I’ve just been crying all day from the shock that it is done and that i have one more and that one more is going really well study wise.

I know I have one more, but passing FAR is and always will be my biggest educational accomplishment.

Also, to the person who said they woke up the morning of my exam and said a prayer for me, I TRULY thank you for that (I forgot your username lol). It made me feel so much better when I was done. I really love this community and it has helped me stay sane. Thank you to all the people who contribute here, it really is a blessing to have this place.

Congrats!!

I remember we took FAR the same time for q4 and was saddened when I saw you didn't pass. I'm glad you got it the second time! Great job not letting it bring you down and being able to pass it immediately after not getting it the first time!

Failing these tests really does test your mental toughness. You will be a stronger person when you become a CPA than before you started this journey. Feel proud!

How did you feel coming out of your second try? I remember you said you felt confident coming out the first try.

Chris.. I didn't want to say it because I knew if I passed it would make ppl believe I was just being an ass saying I did bad but I passed, but I felt like shit coming out of the second one. I just felt defeated.. I thought “WOW the first one was so easy and up my alley, had I studied more that the first one would have been a breeze, but this one, it was brutal”.. the first one I knew every governmental question (Which is why I probably even got the 72 – I was stronger in that area on the report), on this one I froze and thought I messed up governmental.. It was either barely passing or barely failing, but I felt like I failed.

It really is true that saying, if you felt like shit coming out of it you probably passed lol

Omg yea that was exactly how I felt coming out of FAR. It was the most terrible feeling having to tell people that it wasn't looking good and then being questioned about whether you studied hard enough when obviously you do. Then somehow you pass!

And it's okay haha I think many people genuinely feel like they did fail the exam and then some how pass so it doesn't make you an ass.

Congrats again! Hopefully you finish BEC this quarter and be finished. Maybe it really is better to get the harder exams…

I agree. NINJA notes are a must purchase. I usually write about 7 pages a day (yes – it takes awhile to do) but this is the best way for me to learn. Some sections I am taking my own notes as I go through the MCQ's.

Congratulations CHR1437!! I remember reading one of your posts before your first FAR exam (I was studying for FAR as well) and pulling for you. I was bummed to see you didn’t pass.
