Taking FAR today was painful. Testlet 1&2 seemed easy-medium and testlet 3 medium but there were some easy questions where I was unable to remember the detail, uggh. Overall, I felt the MCQs were ok but the SIMS were killer. I used Yaeger/Wiley and didn’t feel the practice SIMS covered the SIMS on the exam. For REG and BEC, I added GLEIM SIMS to my armor and strongly regret not doing the same for FAR. Also, I felt the verbiage for the FAR questions were confusing. I’m planning for a retake but hoping I’m wrong. One more thing…the AICPA outline for % of questions per section (i.e. Government Accounting) was way off per my exam. I’m finding out if the retake creates additional questions on the ‘weaker’ sections or if the retake is almost like sitting for the exam the first-time. If anyone knows this answer, please let me know. Thanks!

Well I hope you passed and do not have to take it again. I don't know the answer to your question, but I really hope it is just like taking a new exam! I am retaking FAR Saturday and I do not want to see the same stuff I saw last time. I mean of course some of the same things but I wouldn't want it based upon what I did weaker on. I hope we both find out we passed in September!

I feel the same way about the SIMs..I thought I did okay on MCQ since I mastered govt and nfp…but then I got to SIMs and well it was all downhill from there. I got the research question I think, but the rest is all a blur.

I took the FAR yesterday. The whole exam was so confused and brutal to me, especially the TBS. For JE TBS, I think I only get half of the JE correct. I was so sad and wanna cry when I got out the test center since I took so much time to study for it, and not much of the materials are really showed up on the exam relevant to my study. I think I get all the medium or easy testlets. At this point, I cannot do anything. I really hope for miracle to get a 75.

Well I'm not sure about the rest of the exam but I do know my simulations were completely different. Still brutal though, I was very lost. I am hoping for a 75 but it is very doubtful after the simulations. I felt ok on the MC, but once I saw the Sims I was like yea I ain't passing. lol Well I hope we all pass anyways! Good luck everyone! The wait isn't long!
