I just took FAR yesterday, it was my 2nd attempt at this exam.

I felt OK about the MC’s, but I got discouraged when I got to the sims. 2 of my sims had “spreadsheet” type grids to fill out. One of them had pre-populated formulas which were not producing the answer I felt was correct but I was unable to change them. I know that we’re only graded on responses entered into the “shaded” cells but there was clearly an error in the sheet, or I completely misunderstood what they were asking for with regards to my responses. I realize the latter is most likely the case, but the question was incredibly poorly worded.

The other sim with a grid was a debit/credit style fill-in. It made perfect sense to me, until I got to a line item where a debit AND credit were required. I was unsure if they wanted the gross debit, and gross credit, which would net out to the answer, or if they wanted me to simply enter the net in the appropriate cell. What’s frustrating about this is the end result is the same, but if the computer is looking for very specific inputs into the shaded cells, I could potentially get this wrong if I went with one method (gross) and it was looking for another method (net).

Anyway, these are my gripes. Good luck to all.
