While sitting FAR, I didnt notice any change in difficulty with the testlets. Yes I flagged and guessed some but it was nothing to blow my mind. I also saw similar question in the becker software which i answered off the bat. Does this indicate failure? Did you guys notice change in difficulty for all exams?

The AICPA states that even though a testlet is deemed “Medium” there still can be difficult questions inserted in the testlet. So you may just be really good and didn't have much trouble or… vice versa. Too many variables =/

    BEC - 85
    FAR - 72, 80
    REG - 79
    AUD - 81

From my experience with FAR you should get questions involving one, two, three calculations to arrive at final answer. I noticed significantly more calculation type questions for my exam. I assume I had hard testlets because I scored well(91).

    FAR- 8/14/12 91
    AUD- 10/16/12 88
    BEC- 11/07/12 92

I'm not sure how it is for FAR, but the third testlet on my BEC exam was the easiest thing I've ever seen. I know I failed….

It all depends on how confident you are with the subject material. With AUD and BEC I was able to tell the test was getting more complicated. I was not as confident with FAR and was a nervous wreck waiting for scores because I could not tell if the testlets were getting harder. Turns out, I passed. Just be confident that you knew what you were doing when you took the test and wait for the score.

I try to watch the length of the questions rather than the difficulty because difficulty is so subjective. My questions got longer for FAR and REG but not for AUD so I guess my method isn't perfect.

I can never tell if things are getting more difficult. Honestly there are so many topics on FAR its hard to know if I don't know an answer because the question is hard or because I didn't study enough or because it's pretest. I have given up trying to predict anything. I've passed 3 sections so far and I'm waiting on my AUD score next release. With REG, I thought I could have passed. With BEC I thought I had failed. With FAR I had no idea.

When I took FAR, I flagged more questions in the second testlet than the first or third. But by the time I got to the third I was so tired I wasn't sure what I knew anymore. I must have done well enough, because I passed, but there was no clear “wow this testlet is WAY HARDER” feeling. I thought they were all about the same, and I thought they were all challenging but theoretically doable. Of course there were problems here and there that seemed harder, but I definitely did not have an entire testlet of really difficult problems….

    REG- 53, 91
    BEC- 88
    FAR- 62, 85
    AUD- 85
