Taking two CPA Exams in one day

Took FAR and BEC in one day. FAR 8am, BEC 12pm.

I dont’t feel very confident. Actually I had a headache and was hungry. And the test felt more like grinding and grinding and grinding to get through all five (ten in total) testlets than me doing anything particularly clever.

Does this look like a bad sign? 🙁

    Cons:
Used up every minute of the 4h time.
(Thought I’d have a couple hours to grab lunch and read my notes.. I always got mock exams done by the 1:30 mark. I did go over every mcq testlet twice.. and then once more over flagged questions. And spending lots of time looking up stuff on the authoritative lit.)

    Pros:
Did finish the test. Took time to think over every question including the SIMs and WC.

Flagged any questions that were remotely weird or hard or not straightforward; Got 12 for FAR and 11 for BEC. Sooo if those rumors that strange questions are the fake ones.. 😉

I heard that it’s impossible to guess CPA scores because of the scoring mechanism. Is feeling like I’ve been through a washing machine normal tho? Or is it foreshadowing? Maybe it’s just low blood sugar after 8hs of grinding :/

Why did schedule two exams on the same day? Most people don’t feel confident after taking just one exam so I can see why you feel that way.

Today was the only day they had before the testing window closed 🙁 I honestly thought I'd finish in less than two hours. Got worried and ended up doing everything thrice tho 🙁 Next time I'm definitely doing one at a time.
I can't stop thinking that my scores might be horrible 🙁 Like not even in the 70s.. It felt more like holding on desperately than solving exam problems 🙁 🙁 🙁

To be honest, I never felt confident after leaving any of the tests I took. However, I only took them one at a time.

At this point, what's done is done. Don't waste too much time worrying about it. My advice would be to take a small break from studying for about a week or two to enjoy your life a little bit. Then come back and start studying for the next section. Once you get your results back, you can see if taking two test on the same day was worth it.

Time to move on…maybe grab a drink or hit the clubs or something. What is done is done. Nothing you can do now except wait until the scores are out.

I personally felt like shit after my BEC exam. Felt like a guessing game because I could stop thinking about the 74 score on FAR that I've received that morning, but it turned out alright in the end.

Don't feel too bad about it. You were brave. I would probably have done the same given the option you had. I had to study for BEC and REG simultaneously as well but my exam were scheduled at different dates though. When I took REG, i felt like i was only 50% ready for the exam. I only went through about 500 MCQs and somehow i managed to get a passing score. All you need is a 75. I hope you get at least that or better. Good luck!

There is no such thing as failing the CPA exam, there is only such thing as quitting the exam process. Never give up. There is a bright light behind the tunnel.

Of the four exams that I passed the only one I felt confident about was FAR. Turned FAR was my lowest score.

    I would've sworn that I failed BEC and REG. I got a 90 and an 89.

No sense in stressing. I'm sure you did fine.

I do wonder what self destructive thought made you take two exams in the same day.

Wow two in one day, I couldn't imagine sitting in Prometric that long even if I only had to read a book, let alone take two of these (fun) test.

Thanks all! You're right, what's done is done. I guess I'll chill out for a couple days and get back to studying. Still got AUD and REG 🙂 and maybe more, tho I REALLY hope that's not the case 🙁
Hope it turns out alright. Earlier today I could almost see that thirty-or-forty something score 🙁 I almost lost it then.

; Mostly time constraint 🙂 Got my NTS on Sept 5; Only day left was 10th so I had to grab last-minute plane tickets and that was it. And my college is pretty strict about attendance so I couldn't afford to stay long anyway. Good thing I'd started preparing way back and could come when I had to. 🙂

It's very normal not to feel confident. I was not confident on any of them to be honest.
2 in one day is pretty hard core. Amazing stamina!!

Update: Passed both. Can't believe it. BEC 89 and FAR 75.
Pretty sure they must have cuuuurved the exam.. or maybe my eyes are deceiving me.
Granted it's a 75 and I know it's not really something to gloat over but still. Just two more to go. 🙂
