It seems like soooo many people run out of time taking FAR. Does anyone ever finish before the allocated time is up?

I finished with a little under 30 minutes to spare. I also took a break after the second testlet to run to the bathroom & grab my sweater because the room was freezing cold.

    FAR - 70, 83
    REG - 82
    BEC - 78
    AUD - 76

I finished with over an hour left…I want to say it was 1.5 hours, but I could be wrong. And I passed (83). So yes, some people do finish before the time is up! But, I've always been quicker taking tests. Like, in college, I'd usually be in the first “wave” of people to finish a test. So, I'd say that time-wise, these might reflect other testing experiences – if you were always running out of time, you will here too, but if you were one of those that was done way before everyone else, you'll be done quickly here, too.

I also finished with over an hour left. Probably closer to an 1.5, but I didn't like the idea of walking out that early so I convinced myself to look at the sims some more. Passed with an 84.

    FAR - 84
    BEC - 89
    AUD - 93
    REG - 87

I finished with over about and hour and a half left but I tend to be a quick test taker. I was freaking out because I had so much time left and people always say they barely finish. I felt like I was borderline passing when I left the exam.

I finished with 1.5 hours left and scored a 95. I studied this subject to death though so most questions were easy answers. With REG, I clicked submit as the time expired so it just depends how well suited you are to the exam!

    FAR - 95
    REG - 93
    AUD - 91
    BEC - 85

I used every last second for FAR and I still wasn't able to find the answer to the research question. I thought my SIMs were tough but manageable. You have to be careful with FAR.. I took longer than I should on the MCQ because I kept waiting for an epiphany on the difficult questions I couldn't narrow down

    REG - 78
    BEC - 74, 67, 69, 69, 70, 79

Not me, I used every lat second. I spent too long on the MCQs. I had 50 minutes for all SIMS, couldn't find the answer to one of the research questions, then had 6 minutes to race through the last two SIMS. Luckily, they were topics I knew and were manageable.

    B - 81 (8/31/13) first attempt!
    A - 80 (2/3/14) first attempt!
    R - 89 (7/31/13) first attempt!
    F - 86 (7/2/13) first attempt!

I definitely ran out of time for FAR. I spent way too much time on the second and third MCQ. I think it's really tricky that if you're doing well, you get harder MCQ. I'm fine with the fact that since they're harder, they are weighted accordingly… but it really messes up your time management. I was so focused on the more difficult MCQ, I completely lost track of time.

I definitely did not have enough time on the SIMS. I passed, but looking at my report card, I did “stronger” on the MCQ and “comparable” on the SIMS. It all worked out in the end, but I really walked out of that test feeling like crap.

Remember, SIMS are worth 40% of your score so try to dedicate 40% of your time to them.

    FAR 7/3/13 - 82
    BEC 8/21/13 - 82
    AUD 10/2/13 - 92
    REG 12/3/13 - 88

I finished with two minutes left. I'm super anal about re-checking each testlet before moving on to the next one, though.

    I spent:

    FAR (1st exam): 2.5 hours

    AUD: 2-2.5 hours

REG: Entire 3 hours, had about 10 minutes left

    BEC: 2 hours

I've always been a fast test taker, but it was still pretty surprising when I took FAR as my very 1st exam that I made it through the test with so much time left since everyone always stress about keeping track of time.

Don't spend too much time on one question. Probably 2-3 minutes max if you have to which also depends how well you are doing with other questions. If you don't know, just mark it and move on then come back later before submitting each testlet.

Really thought they should switch the time limit between REG and AUD. Make REG the 4 hours and AUD 3 hours.

I would like to point out that GENERALLY it seems the trend for the people that score high on FAR (85+) is they used the majority of their time (maybe testlet difficulty plays a role). I don't understand how people can barely pass or fail while leaving 30 minutes plus on the table otherwise.

I pretty much ran out of time for 1/5 of one of the sims and input random bs haha.

    FAR: Entire time..kinda ran out

    AUD: 2 hours

BEC: Almost entire time because of proofreading

I ended up leaving 15 min on the table. I didn't get a chance to go through the third testlet a second time because I was worried about leaving enough time for the sims. I was tired during the third testlet and toward the end realized that I wasn't putting in enough effort. When I finished the 30th one I was going to review some of the middle questions, but got worried when I saw my time. I moved onto the SIMS and got throught them much quicker than I thought I would and just didn't need the last 15 min. I did not take any breaks.

Timed out while I was trying to discern WTF the last sadistic tab was even asking? Was it English? Was it even of this world??
