I finish becker with all MCQ and sims. I am currently studying for the final review. But i felt like i am going to get a heatattack each time i got a mcq wrong on the final review.
All the material seem to fade away. I can’t remember most of the stuff without checking my notes or book.
And even with opening my notes, there are just so much details i tend to oversee, dates, if the question is asking for B/s instead of I/s. It seems like all the questions are full with traps.
what am i going to do, i have about 12 days left.
what is a good review strategy.

I am taking FAR in 7 days and doing a final review with Roger. I have been doing MCQ's for each section. I read over my notes before I start the questions for that chapter. I try to go off memory, but if I need to I check my notes to help get the right answer. If I don't have it in my notes I try to find it in the book. If I get it wrong, I will adjust or add to my notes the new info.

The truth is, you are going to get a lot of questions wrong upon first try. The review course Q's are designed to be very tricky and I find that some of them seem very irrelevant. My advice is to take a breath and read the question SLOWLY. (I find myself speeding thru sometimes in an effort to get them done quickly). Be sure to read over each answer. When you think you have the answer, try to think of why the other 3 could be wrong. And when you get a question wrong, don't get frustrated. Just read the explanation for the answer and try to remember for next time, or add it to your notes. When you go thru enough Q's, GO BACK AND REDO the ones you originally got wrong. You should get most of them right the second time.

If it's a long question, read that last sentence first to know what you are looking for. And if a question or topic is rare and seems odd, chances are it won't be tested. The questions you see over and over in your review questions are what has a high chance of appearing on the test.

It's completely normal to have forgotten most of the stuff you learned in FAR. Completely normal.
That is what the final review is for. Just keep hammering the MCQs and it will slowly start to come back to you.
It happens to everyone, nothing you can do about it.
If I had to do it over again I would have devoted one day each week to doing some cumulative MCQs just to keep the earlier stuff fresh. I just tried to get through the course as fast as possible, and then lost so much, but it all comes back. Trust me. Just keep working at it. Very normal to freak out when you have 2 weeks to the exam.

I know Im a few days late, but thought you might need to hear from another person who felt OVERWHELMED the entire time studying for FAR and also on the exam… yet I passed with a 78. It seemed impossible to remember all of the exceptions and other detailed information. I kept thinking if the exam just asks questions on all of my weak areas there is no way I will pass. What I learned, is to focus on the big picture. The exam questions are simpler than your review questions. Don't spend too much time trying to remember all of the exceptions and minor details. Definitely continue to review them, but think big picture… “Do I really have a handle on this subject.”

Another thing to remember… don't give up. The exam can be brutal.. and I remember thinking there is no way im passing, halfway through taking the actual exam. But I just tried to remain positive and confident in the time I had spent studying and managed to pass. Hang in there!

The Becker review is designed to knock you down, and they've said that. One of the benefits is they approach questions from many different ways and force you to practice the rules, the exceptions, etc, so you've seen many different variations/outcomes before you take the actual exam. If you learn to read the Becker questions carefully and glean the relevant information, you'll do the same with the actual exam.

A lot of people also get a boost in points from the simulated exams to the actual exam, based of what I said already. They prefer that you over-prepare and be surprised that some of the questions are easier than you expected, than under-prepare and be surprised that everything is more difficult and cause another reason for panic.
