Hey guys,

I just finished going through the whole Becker book once.

I now have about 30 days left until my exam. I wanted to ask for recommendations to approach the review process. (I will not be buying the Becker Final Review).

Should I do a mock first to see my weak spots? Or do review starting from F1 again?

How many MCQs have you done so far?
If you just read the book without doing any MCQs I would start by doing MCQs for each section and review the book as you work through the MCQs.
If you did MCQs for all sections as you went through the book, I would start by doing batches of MCQs to identify your weak areas, review those, rinse and repeat.

^Agreed, after you've done a lot of the MCQs & Sims (ideally as you go through the material), take a practice exam. It's usually good at highlighting your weak spots. Then implement that in your continued review. As a part of my final review, I put together a pretty comprehensive list of formulas and hard concepts so I had easy access to look at whenever. 30 days is a lot of time but you can definitely use it all and take advantage; gives you the best chance to pass. Read it, write it, listen to it; taking it in multiple ways will help you too.

Roger is great for the final review.

The Smartpath tool that Roger has. It is basically a dynamic tool that compare your progress to the progress of previous students who have passed the exam. So I just watch the lectures, do the questions at the end and try and hit the Smartpath goals. It doesn't get any easier than that.

If you want a good indication that you're ready for the exam, just do a few 33 mcq tests and if you score above 75% on the Smartpath feature then you're probably ready.

Also I use Roger's flash cards for more tricky subjects. I customize the flash cards to show specific things and then review them on my phone, usually I ask a friend to quiz me as well, so they will read the term and I'll explain it and see if it matches the back of the flashcard.

At the review stage I just hammer MCQs and if needed check the study hub (another great feature!) or watch the cram course lectures if I completely forgot something.

I used Becker. After reading the Becker book and taking notes, I did 100 MCQ's everyday in the morning at 4am, then reviewed the two lowest performing sections at night. If my score wasn't 80%, that was a problem and reviewed why (usually, I read the question wrong).

I watched Becker SIMs at 75% speed to calm myself down and solidify the big concepts in my brain. 2 weeks before the exam, I took the second Becker practice exam (the first one's way too hard). Then the last week, i did 100MCQ's everyday again and introduced no new information. The day before, I took the day off and reviewed till 12PM, then chilled. I took the exam at 730AM, and passed everytime I did this. Good luck

My recommendation after going through all the material is to use a cram course or final review course. I used Roger CPA's cram course and it helped summarize all relevant topics. I used it about 2 weeks prior to my exam.

The review program I use, UWorld Roger, has cram sessions that I like. They're a good review for the exam.
