ParticipantMaybe I'm late to the party but just in case you all didn't know, the AICPA has changed how they will grade sims. In order to get (full) credit on a question, you must get the entire row correct. There is no more partial credit for question.
Just thought I'd share what I'm guessing I should have already known.

ParticipantA link to AICPA guidance would be helpful. Not saying that your post is bs, but some third party representation would be nice

KeymasterThis is a new one for me too – please post the AICPA link where you saw this. I don't recall this in the communications with the review providers, but that doesn't mean I didn't miss it 🙂

ParticipantI do not have a link to any AICPA guidance. However, this is the the email that I received from Becker, in response to submitting a question about a sim. I tried to paste an image of the email but couldn't, so here is the text thread.
Subject: Audit: A1 M3 Simulation
Hi Ciera,
Thanks for contacting us. There is no problem with the system.
The AICPA has informed us of how they are grading the SIMS. When a simulation has several columns, you need to get the ENTIRE row correct in order to get full credit. There is no partial credit.
The same is true for journal entries. You need to get both the account name and amount correct. Otherwise you don't get any credit. We adjusted our software to grade exactly like the CPA exam. Everyone will be graded the same way.
Let us know if you have any other questions.

Becker Academic SupportQuestion :
According to the software, I answered B3 & B4 incorrectly. However, according to the answers, I got them correct. The software is marking them wrong while your answers are saying that I have it correct.AUD: 68, 74, 83BEC: 68, 70, 80

ParticipantWeird because Jeff has gotten info from AICPA that they do not count entire row. I asked about that maybe a year ago on here so maybe Jeff will ask again for an update 😀

ParticipantJeff, can your source give us the answers to Far? We will study the answers to make sure we know how to get them. 🙂 I promise.
